I need a Tire replacement recommendation 4 my G.S. Corvette
I need to replace my Aged Cooper tires " their 6yrs old with 10/32tread remaining" with 1 of 4 Tire MFG. #1. Continental Extreme Contact Sport, #2. Firestone Fire Hawk Indy 500, #3. Toyo Proxes Sport, #4. Yokohama Advan Apex
I only drive about 1K miles a year on my 2012 G.S. Corvette. still one of the these tire MFG has to be selected for replacement. price wise their all about the same. still I'D like to hear you forum members recommendation and why your recommending your choice.
thanks boonie

Boonie... cool handle!... For 1000 miles a year, any tyre will work for ya!.. They'll be good for 5 years, then you're gonna change em.

The 4 you list are good. So is Michelin. But since you only drive 1000 miles a year go w/ the least expensive.
It's not that complicated of a decision and there's 1000's of threads on what is the best tire for the wide body C6 if you do a search.

My suggestion is to drive your GS more and buy the best non run flat tires. What are you saving the car for. Either drive it more or sell it to someone that will enjoy it for what it was made for.

I would stay away from the advans, apparently you’ll be lucky to get 10m miles out of them. I just put the Hankook ventus evo2’s on my grand sport and im really happy with them. Car dead hooks in first gear at 30mph. The stock runflats we’re useless in first and second, and sometimes the car would spin bad on the 2-3 shift and the car got loose on me on the 3-4 shift once in colder weather which is when I tapped out. Getting loose at around 105mph isn’t my idea of fun. I’ve heard a lot good things about the continentals, they were my second choice.

I went with the Nitto NT 555's........they perform very well. I am happy with them for sure! AND......the price was right!
