Default Cleaning the HUD

Is it safe to use a microfiber towel to clean the top of the HUD? I'm having my windshield replaced tomorrow , which would give me a good opportunity to clean the dust off of it. Anything I need to be careful of when doing it?

I am guessing here but I believe the HUD has a plastic film covering.

I would treat it like the LCD screen in the dash.

Wipe with a lightly damp microfiber cloth and dry lightly with a dry micro fiber cloth.

By all means DO clean it while the windshield is being replaced. There's no other way to do it.

I used Eye Glass wipes and Eye Glass Clothe.

It's all clean now, and looks much better. The display is even a little brighter. The dust here in Arizona is horrible.
