Default What would u do

As of right now I have a 08 base auto with yank 3500stall. Black wing intake and muffler delete. I'm looking to spend 10k on upgrades. I'm wanting more power. I'm thinking btr stage 3 cam. 1.8 roller rockers, long tubes. And a shot of nitrous. Thinking 150 to 200 shot.. what would you do for my car for 10k

Nitrous is a waste of money, supercharge it and add headers and a tune

What would I do? Supercharger hands down.

But what do you want? How do you use the car?

Forget the cam and the rest. Get an A&A supercharger install. You'll get an additional 200 HP, and it works perfectly with the stock internals. Add some 1-7/8" long tubes and you'll have more power and reliability than HCI. Plus you won't be burning your internals using NOS.

I'm in the same camp and decided on an A&A V3-SI head unit...then I read up on the Kenne-Bell boost-a-pump and have concerns about the spiked voltage burning out the fuel pump? I could just go with a better fuel pump, but that adds a lot to the cost.

Anyone have issues with the KB BAP?

A&A sells an add on fuel pump kit. I haven't seen many people talk about it but seems like a good solution without having to drop the tanks to replace the internal fuel pumps.

Stay away from the 1.8 rockers with an aftermarket camshaft.

With that kind of budget, do what I did and stick an LS7 in it. The car will be crazy fun and WAY faster than any LS3 with a blower on it.

Are you doing the work or is a shop going to? That would change what you can do, but for 10k you can have an ECS supercharger, headers and meth injection installed which would make your car a 9 second car with a tire on it. Roughly 700 rwhp.

If you would like to discuss this in length feel free to call us. 609-752-0321

I'm fan of N/A, but not Nos. I say build an engine, not horsepower.

Why does everyone hate nitrous. If it's set up right it does no damage unless you use to much. No different than boost. I like nitrous more because it isn't used everytime you drive it. If you boost a car even driving to get groceries you are under boost.

I go along with the S/C.....mine is an A & A and those guys are great. I did the install myself and needed help a few times, and just called A & A and they were more than happy to help. I have ported and polished heads, Belanger Custom Tri-Y headers and exhaust, 96mm matched throttle body, and the car is a beast! Very reliable, and no the car isn't under boost when you drive to the grocery store......UNLESS......you put your foot into it and just hold on. Don't have to put up with removing and filling bottles either. Good luck on deciding what you are going to do......whatever it is....be safe!

Seriously, if OP is thinking horses, S/C would be easy to achieve this. Also I believe nothing wrong with NOS if setup right, correct if I'm wrong.

However IMO, I'm big fan of naturally aspirated. You can try but you cannot beat it's throttle crispness. I haven't driven any hand tuned LS with lots of horses, but I drove my Uncle's 6.0 $10k Renntech N/A Engine, nothing like it. Fwiw/
