Dead Battery- How do you open door from INSIDE?
My car battery died on my 09 C6, but I managed to give it a jump to take it to the mechanic, while driving there I rolled the window down 2-3 inches cause the A/C and radio etc was off and my dashboard lighted up like a Christmas tree with all kinds of warnings, when I got to the mechanic, in the parking lot, I tried to back up and the car stalled and didn't start anymore, with ME inside.
The doors did not work and in 96 degrees of Miami heat, with a storm approaching I didn't know what to do, can't honk the horn, the doors don't open, I was suffocating in there, and I turned to google, all I could find is how to open by opening the trunk with the hidden key, and the videos in you tube were all for that same method. By the way if you make videos, when someone is dying just start with "this is how you open the f'ing door, not with music, then "today we are going to learn how to open a corvette door blah blah, follow me on my channel blah blah", just tell me how to do something in an emergency LOL. Luckily I had rolled the window down a little and when someone passed by I asked him to open the trunk and pull the string.
Now that I'm thinking clearly, I realized I could've just open the targa top and get out, or crawl to the back of the hatch to pull the string to open the door, but it was full of crap that I had there, but I still don't know how to open the door from the inside with a dead battery.
I searched the forum and the closest I could find is someone mentioned there is a latch in the seats but I couldn't find it. Help?

"How to get out of a C6 with a dead battery
Situated on the left of the driver's seat, in between the seat and the door, is a small lever. Because it sits flush within the trim, the lever is easy to miss. Look for the red graphic of the car and driver door marked on the top.
To open the door, pull this lever up, using the same motion as if you are pulling a lever to pop the trunk. A similar lever is located on the passenger side.
The next time you plan to take your C6 Corvette for a drive, take a few minutes first to familiarize yourself with the door levers and the latch inside the trunk. Test each one to ensure that they are smooth and operational."
Literally the first google result. https://www.liveabout.com/opening-a-...battery-916179
Also described in section 2-11 of your owner's manual. Before my kids can operate any motorvehicle we own, they have to read the owner's manual and demonstrate to me they know how to operate all the features of the vehicle. It's a good practice to follow even as an adult.

Less obvious than simply removing the targa, but as the OP mentioned, he didn't realize that until after. Honestly, Chevy should have made the manual door release handles red & not the same color as the adjoining door sill trim & carpet.

I thought the same thing. When I started reading the thread I couldn't believe the op was going thru this. I thought there was going to be a punchline at the end of the story or something.

How can you not see it and wonder what is was? There is a red door open icon printed on the lever.
Maybe if owners would vacuum out the interior every few years they would figure it out.
BTW there is a cable drivers door release and a cable fuel door release in the trunk area.

I make it a point to show any passenger where theirs is, and why it's there, just in case.

I read the manual before going to Bowling Green to pick up my museum delivery. Knew about the release lever.
Had to stop at Little Rock Chevy dealer on way home to look at Service Charging System message. Checked out a C6 on display in the showroom. Being a new Corvette stud, I pulled the lever through open window so I could sit inside.
Must have missed the part in the OM that said the alarm would go off and the sales people would be unable to find the fob to turn it off. I was no longer a Corvette stud.
