Default I guess it's that time again......

I just realized the past few days that I replaced the two front tires on my 2005 Corvette about 10 years ago and the two rear tires are still on the car from when I bought it used in 2011. So there's no telling how long the two rear tires have been on the car.

What makes matters worse, I am going to have to replace all four tires on my 1978 Corvette. I checked last night and I put them on the car in March of 2000. 22 years old. 😳

They only have about 4,000 miles on them and they look brand new so I'll replace them Monday. Almost $1500.00.

So that, plus four new tires on the 2005 and I'm going to be paying some big bucks for tires. And they look brand new too. What a waste.
But whatever.

Join the club... my 70 C3 get about 1000 miles year and the C6 gets about 2000 miles a year. I'm always replacing tires with lots of tread left.

What does everyone do with their tires when they're replaced due to age, with good tread? When I used to take off my track tires on my Yamaha R6, I would sell them to the stunt bike guys. They loved doing burnouts with them. I imagine cheap tires might be useful to someone who wants to mess around.

When my rears need replacing I'll do some burnouts beforehand.
