Default Alignment Shops Charleston SC

Just got new tires, now I need to find a good 4 wheel alignment shop here in the Charleston area. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You should probably ask a question like this in your regional forum.

Will give it a try. Usually not a lot of traffic on those things. Thx for the idea.

Don’t have anybody by name, but I have always used an old school frame shop for my alignments. Stay away from the tire store type.

The dealer cost for an alignment may not be that bad. Ask the local dealer if they have an alignment tech that is familiar with C6's. I do not like going to dealers, but sometimes they have good techs that have been there a long time, are well trained, have good equipment and can do the job correctly. Just tell them the exact specs that you want, if they can't do it, walk.

Platinum on cross county. I used to drive past there twice a day for work. Didn’t think of them. Lots of high dollar stuff in the lot. They should know what they are doing. I will check them out. Also Jamisons. If they don’t do it they should have a recommendation. Thx.

Kerry doesn't do alignments at Jamison's. He doesn't have an alignment rack. A couple of years ago Karl Troy at European Road and Racing used my car to train with when they were setting up their new Hunter alignment rack. Though he prefers not to do domestics he can. Platinum did my car a week ago and I was satisfied with how it came out. None of these are inexpensive.

Just to finish up this thread and for future reference I got my 4 wheel alignment done by a local shop, A+ Automotive here in Summerville. Great service, did a great job, they took it out for test drive, not quite right, tweaked it again , another test drive and I drove home as a happy camper. Cost was $150.00. Highly recommend them to anyone in the area. Between the new quiet non run flats and the new alignment it feels like a brand new car.

I'm in Summerville as well. There is a gentle at a Firestone in West Ashley who does all of my cars alignments and a lot of my racing buddies as well. If you ever need a second opinion or a new alignment guy. He is the one to go too.
