Default New C6 Owner - Long Island, NY

Hi all, proud new owner of a 2008 M6 LS3 Z51 1LT in Jetstream Blue. Found it on the forum, flew out to Ohio with my dad and drove it back. Couldn't be happier with the car so far.

NPP mufflers were added, but it seems no vacuum control (NPP in a box etc) is present so the exhaust is "wild" all the time. I found a great write up on the forum showing how to add a vacuum pump to control the valves and I'll be installing it in the coming days.

Nice car, can't go wrong with Jetstream Blue! I'm not too far from you (train at LAF Garden City Park) I plan to go to those meets this spring and summer.
Good luck with your new car...

Congrats on the new ride. I really like the wheel color with the Jetstream Blue. The black halo is cool as well.

Nice ride and congrats! If no vacuum lines visible then add kit but if present some pull the fuse to make “wild” full time.

Hello from just from a few blocks away here in Franklin Sq. There are a few meets just right in our area. Tuesday nights Dogwood Ave in FS, Wednesday shopping center on Nassau Blvd & Jericho Tpke where King Kullen is and Thursday's on the LIE Exit 52 south side in the welcoming stop. And of course the Sunday morning cars and coffee in Oak Beach on Ocean Pkwy.I belong to the LICOA corvette club. Maybe think about joining or looking into. Welcome and congratulations on your new ride!

Great color and wheel combo! Pretty....
Captree and OBI are GREAT early Sunday AM lots of cool cars of all types, not just Vette's. I go when I can, and it's not too far from me on eastern Long Island.
Your garage is pretty nice as well!
Enjoy, and good luck!

Thanks! They are z06 spyder replicas in "narrow body" size/offset. Halo and roof are vinyl wrapped, I think it sets off the lines of the body really well.

Thank you! I have the original window sticker and no NPP listed. Checked and no vacuum lines seem to have been added. I like the idea of the vacuum pump so I can close the valves with accessory on, and then start the car in "MILD" mode. My neighbors will appreciate it! This thing is pretty loud.

Thanks! Good info, I've been to the King Kullen meet a few times, didn't know about Dogwood... hope to see you at those this year and learn more about LICOA. We go to Croxleys in Franklin Square every so often.. great kids menu deal (and beer menu haha). Garden City has an "antique" car parade on Easter, but I believe they are strictly 25+ year old cars. Great parade & post parade car show, many 60's muscle cars.. seems to be a big draw from all over.

Thanks! Will try to get to one of those this year. We just built this garage, and the doors were finally installed the day we flew out to pick up the Corvette.... 22 weeks after we ordered them! Crazy. There's a cathedral ceiling in that bay to accommodate a lift if they ever come down in price. Everything is hyper inflated.

Took our first top down ride today. I am really happy we went with a C6, I was originally searching for a c5z, but fell in love with this car and it's going to be more fun for my family with the removable top.
