Put the teeth on again this year and drove around with my buddy Jason riding shotgun. Kids get a kick out of it. Some adults too, but only the fun ones.

If anyone on here has 2013 Grand Sport coupe, 1G1YR2DW8D5102733, 2LT, HUD, black with Ebony interior, manual transmission, black wheels and badging....I bought it new. It was a great car. I can answer any questions you may have regarding its early life (first ~6 years). It was a great car

I am in love with my GS. I can’t wait to look at it/touch it/drive it. So glad that I pulled the trigger on this one.

First test and tune of the year today. Took the dirty Corvette to MIR and finally made what I think is an acceptable pass and is my personal best.

I'm on the right against an auto Charger Scat Pack:

Definitely slept on the tree but all day today was focused on my launch technique to get a better 60', did not care about reaction time.

Care to share how you acquired that car in Sweden? As I understand it, even base Corvettes are fairly hard to come by in Europe. Bet it has a good story.

Absolutely no problem to share that info.
Car had two previous owners in California, i am not sure who rebuilt it with Callaway but it was expensive something like 23K usd.
Next buyer was from Sweden but he imported it to EC through Germany in 2017 as he was living in Germany, car was registered in Sweden 2018 as a rebuilt special vehicle privately imported, in that way car could get in without problems as it was within EC already easier to import to Germany Netherlands and then to Sweden next step they cant reject it, i am the third owner in Sweden including car companies that traded it, it is impossible to get it registered as a direct import from US with a supercharger, at this moment it is the only known C6 Callaway in Sweden or maybe even Scandinavia most likely according to the Corvette club info.
In Sweden Corvettes are popular and there are some 3000 of all models at least, in EC very rare.

[QUOTE=NoVA Vette; I know that the argument will be "Well, the Grand Sport is just a base with a few options”.[/QUOTE]

I prefer to think of it as a Z06 with the base engine

My feelings as well, except no base ever got a dry sump engine like the M6 GS coupes have.

Grand Sport is a lot closer to a Z06 than it is a base. It's basically a Z06 with an LS3 and a steel frame (and fewer carbon fiber bits), which is why it comes in a convertible.

A Z06 Carbon is basically a ZR1 with an LS7.

If I may add that each Dry Sump, manual GrandSport, Z06, and ZR1 is individually assembled by a Tech with his name plated in front of the passenger side cylinder head.

Yep. There is a thread somewhere where they were tracking who built what. Mine was chuck Dekubber! I had a hell of a time getting a picture.

Neighbor of a friend writes car reviews and had a Nismo Z for the past week. He let my friend drive it and they followed me to Cars and Coffee this morning.

Did a 2nd gear pull and we were even side by side. Car is quite the package.
