I have a 2010 Grand Sport which does NOT have a rear parking/back-up camera or console screen.

• I need a rear parking/back-up camera & monitor.
• I also need a front & rear Dash Cam system.

I've been reading about the VANTRUE M2 Mirror Dash Cam system which has ALL of the features that I need; however, this requires that the stock inside mirror be removed and I'm not sure whether disconnecting the inside cabin lights & the OnStar connection to install the new Vantrue Mirror will cause any system electrical connection issues?

I can live without the interior cabin lights & I do not use OnStar anymore.

Will disconnecting the cabin lights & OnStar create any electrical issues???

I could also simply use a front & rear dash cam system which has a monitor sitting in view on the front dash board.

Suggestions?

That mirror straps over the top of your rear view mirror, it doesn't replace the mirror. I was looking at it and other similar styles but ultimately went with a new stereo with a screen to display the cameras.

Thanks for the quick response!
I've gone back to Vantrue regarding their M2 mirror, as their camera is mounted on the back side of the mirror facing the front of the car and the lens may be blocked if it is strapped to the existing mirror.
If this is correct the installation will be very simple!

The camera sits offset from the original mirror so it shouldn't be obstructed. You can see how it's mounted by looking at the Amazon customer reviews with photos.
