Default Katech Roll Call

I took my GS to Katech for a Stage II+ setup earlier this year and I'm Serial #18. I know the majority of Katech C6's out there are Z06s and their serial numbers are in triple digits, but was curious if any of the other 17 non-Z06 serialized Katech C6's are hanging out on the Forum.

I’ve never heard of a grand sport built by katech that has a serial number.

Based on my serial number plate, it appears they treat all other non-Z06's as just "C6 Corvette" so I can't say how many of the other 17 I'm referring to are GS's. I won't claim to be the only one (although it would be kind of cool if that were the case), but I can tell you the work they did has completely transformed my GS.

We serialize every vehicle that we install one of our standard packages on.

There are 23 Non Z06 or ZR1 C6's.

15 - Base C6
4 - 427 Edition
4 - Grand Sport

We have built quite a few more as well. Once they get to far away from a standard package we no longer serialize them.

Thanks! Great to know my car is one of less than a handful of Katech GS's, but the enthusiast in me feels bad that more owners have not experienced the incredible work you guys do.

What was included in your Stage II+ package?

I knew about the C6 RS's and knew you guys did a lot of C6Z stuff, just wasnt aware you did builds like that for the non Z cars.

I guess I could have been more clear. I was wanting to know what the mods were on the OP's Grand Sport.

Here is the Katech Stage II standard list:

Cold Air Intake Kit (Halltech)
Katech Ported LS7 Throttle Body
Weld-in O2 Bung for Wideband AFR Sensor
160 Degree Thermostat
All Fuel/Oil/Consumables
Katech Camshaft (LS3 Torquer)
Katech CNC Ported Cylinder Heads
Katech Competition Valve Job
Katech Valve Job Blending
Katech CNC Ported Cylinder Head Chambers
PSI Springs
Katech Tool Steel Retainers
Katech Steel Locators
Katech Johnson 2110-K Lifters
Trend 3/8-.080 Pushrods
ARP Head Bolts
GM Head Gaskets
Baseline Dyno
Chassis Dyno Power Validation
Installation

In addition to the Stage II package I added:

Valve Cover and Coil Relocation Kit (Lollipop Red powdercoat)
ATI Damper (stock size)
DeWitts radiator w/ integrated oil cooler

I also installed a full LS7 manifolds-to-mufflers exhaust before I took the car up to Katech.

The dyno graph below shows the results, but what it doesn't show is other than a mild lope at idle how much smoother and more responsive the LS3 is compared to stock.

Where it started....vs where it is now. The car is under the knife and receiving a full Dailey stage 5 dry sump as well as suspension, aero, brakes and safety for the track.

Congrats on the results. That's well over 500 bhp, and you don't have long tubes. Nice. Also great dyno curve, looks healthy everywhere with big gains. Good to see the graph SAE corrected, the industry standard.

Neat to hear it drives well, sometimes greater than actual power numbers.
