2012 Grand Sport
Hi , spend most of my time on the C-2 forum , I have a question about my 2012 Grand Sport I bought new ( 6841 miles ) .Driving last week , 3 days or so when in town ( lucky me ) it dies on a local road , service engine light comes on , I waited 10 min. , it started , drove it home when it did it 2 more times. My friend scanned it , one code said low voltage to ECM , there were 3 codes , anyway , off to local Chevy dealer tomorrow , I have extended with Endurance , anyone have an idea what it might be ? , thanks

Yep, a bad battery can cause all kind of weird things to happen

My money is on bad battery. If the battery is more than a couple years old it's time to replace it anyway, so I would certainly start there.

Just a heads up , got my car back from my local Chev dealer , she had 4 codes .. all related to bad ECM ( engine control module ).. all tuned out well , took 3 days ( weekend in there ) mostly covered by my extended warranty , done deal !

I live in NJ and have never been pulled over or ticketed for not having a front plate on the Vette. Even went to inspection station with out issue. I did bring the front plate with me just in case and put it on the dash. I know a couple other Corvette owners and they say the same thing. Anyway, car looks great, congrats.

Melting Slicks
I have been running my cars for the last 20 years with no front plates and never been stopped and I live in a major city. And even if you do get stopped so what, all it is is a equipment violation ticket which is the equal to a parking ticket, maybe $75 bucks. Even if I got one a year it's well worth the cost instead of having a nasty front plate.
