Default Seeking painted/poweder coated calipers pics

I bought my car with those giant, red fake caliper covers already having been put on by the previous owner. While the car's in the shop right now I'm going to go ahead and get the brakes done ...its within 5 or 10k miles of needing them anyway... and want to do away with those things & get my calipers power coated and done right - this is both a mechanic and custom shop. If you've got some nice, high res pics of yours either on or off (i.e. in the process of being painted) would you be good enough to post those pics to this thread? I want to send the guy at the Corvette shop in Denver some samples of the look I'm shooting for. thx

I had red calipers from the factory. I decided to paint them yellow with Black letter so it might look better with the new wheels which replaced my chrome wheels.
I used POR 15 ceramic paint, and they turned out great.
Here is a close up pic of the painted yellow.

Red calipers.

I did the G2 paint system and it was very easy once the car is up and on jack stands, I painted them red, which on a lemans blue car is just the ticket !

For those that have added the Corvette logo back on, how did you do it? I was thinking about using the G2 system, which should be easy enough, but I’m not fond of needing to use a spray on clear coat over the Corvette stickers. How much of the car did you have to mask off?

Got my decals from ETSY. Sprayed hi temp satin clear on them. Not crazy about glossy finish on calipers. Used the G2 system for paint. This picture is before the satin clear.

Here’s a couple of more. Painted mine yellow to match car (Duplicolor). Decals bought on eBay. Finished with high heat clear. Did nearly 2 years ago, have held up very well.

Thanks renegade69, slick ride...but,..pics of a black car with black wheels, at night, doesn't do the best job in the world of showcasing calipers!
