I've done a number of mods to my 2007 Corvette, some Ok others that now were a waste of time and effort, (BS Vendors had a lot to do with this decision) So what are some of your "mod" experiences that turned out great or just a great waste of your time and money ?

I am going to take another approach to this question…. As an active driver in SCCA and HPDE events and from track experience, the BEST money spent for “enhancing your sports car driving experiance” is to spend some money on YOU, the driver. Learn to drive your car to its current limits, then modify where needed.

I really haven't done a lot and am happy with every mod I have done: Eagle Eyes, Vitesse, side skirts, 3rd brake light pulser, swapped several interior bulbs for LEDs, HID fog bulbs, swapped from BB PRT exhaust that was on the car when I bought it to NPP with NPP in a Box controller, and tweaked engine and tranny tuning with HP Tuners.

Sure, I've wasted money on a number of corvette vendors, Corvettemods, Southerncarparts and Umnitza for the headlights, but well worth the money and time were Vette-lights, West coast corvette and American car craft. But now a little over a year into it, I can only find satisfaction in so much as I kept the Vette close to stock. I just don't understand why the American Corvette, which was a affordable Ferrari has to be plagued by such low morals and ethically challenged nests of vendors. I'm old fashioned, I was taught that when you make a deal, you live up to that agreement. But in this day and time, if you cheat someone out of their money, Hell with it, just move on the the next sucker !

Proformance wise... Z51 Sway Bars and Bilstein DRM shocks are near the top of the list, but the best mod per dollar spent is swapping in the C5 clutch spring.
Cosmetics wise a painted to match ZR1 spoiler was the biggest followed closely by painted to match door handles. A custom air brushed hood liner is the coolest.

I here good things about a gear change from say like 3.42 to 3.90 or 4.10.

Changed stock head unit out to a Kenwood, eliminated column lock system, eliminated 1st to 4th shift lock out, added NPP exhaust (bought used set, made my own NPP controller), Vette Lights interior lights, rear view camera, curved glass drivers side mirror. Going to do shifter box next. Very happy with everything done so far.

Ha! They all were worth it. I've been modding chit since the mid '70's. Ran nitrous before a lot of you guys were born. Made some mistakes...sure. But, learned from every one of them. Learned from the successes too. Camaro's, Corvettes, GM trucks, etc. Supercharged, nitrous, n/a it's all been a BLAST. Would not change a single thing.
I would add that if you can't afford it, don't do it. Don't put any of this before family.
I've done three C6's. Two supercharged and the current one is heads and cam. Oh, and I just turned 66 years old. Bought the wife a drop dead gorgeous 2005 SSR a few months ago with 13K miles on the clock. She's wondering what I'm going to do to it. Haven't decided yet. It's going to be fun though.

Without question, the best mod for me has been the upgraded OEM head unit to a Kenwood DMX907S with Bluetooth, wireless Apple Car Play and a rear camera. Questionable has been the domed Corvette letters that I purchased but (despite following the instructions) are refusing to stay attached to the dash area in front of the passenger seat. I’ve not attempted any performance enhancing mods.

The best mod for me was changing out the stock nav system to a Pioneer AVIC 8200 NEX nav system with front and rear cameras, then removing the stock rear speakers and building a custom subwoofer and adding a sub amp for my vert. Adding the Morimoto head lights and fog lights from Vette Lights. All well worth the cost.

The best bang for the buck mod was swapping in a C5 clutch return spring, <$20.
