Default Tunnel drapes question.

I have some leftover red vinyl from my console cover and was thinking of doing some tunnel drapes. My question is where do they stop on the bottom edge ? I thought the sides of the console would be separate from the floor carpet, but at least on my 13 it does not seem to be.

They typically run down alongside the console to the floor level. Usually have a finished edge on the lower level and it follows the contours as necessary along the floor line.

Included a picture that was posted here before by Bobby, Not So Fast when he had his C6 which shows the lower edge of the drapes as installed.

Hope this helps.

That does help.
So it looks like the floor carpet runs up into the center console, instead of the console sides being a separate piece. As previously mentioned I would have to make a finished seam on the bottom edge following the contours of the floor. which may be beyond my skill set.

If you really want this find an upholstery shop (auto or marine) and take the fabric to them. They can run a stitch across the finished edge for cheap.

How big a project was this, and was it worth it? I am considering doing it to mine as a winter project.

Hmmn, that looks a lot straighter than I thought. I do have a local upholstery guy (he made my console cover) so I may attempt this after all.

I don't want to hijack Patsgarage topic, but here's the post. About 6-8 hours
