Best radio replacement
Wondering what the best head unit to replace the stock 2010 radio.
I want a rear view camera, blue tooth, and better nav options.
Any recommendations ?

Good luck with whatever system you choose. It’ll be a huge improvement over the factory set up which I’m sure you will enjoy 😀

I went with the JVC KW-M865BW and am very happy with it. Has wireless AndroidAuto/Carplay, which is really nice, 2 USB inputs (very handy when on trips and needing to charge both our phones, or charging a phone and using a USB stick for music), 13 band EQ (sound is noticeably better than stock head unit), and has 3 camera inputs. I did a backup camera with it, which is great, I only wish I'd thought to add a front camera at the same time, and at some point, I may do that and add a "rearview" camera as well. I spent just over $800 for everything (head unit, interface module, pre-wired harness & backup cam), and the install was probably the easiest car stereo install I've ever done. Only had to splice one wire (power for backup cam). Sound quality was immediately noticeable improvement, and the wife commented on it as well. And having AA/Carplay is an absolute must, makes it so much easier being able to see/control through the headunit.

If you don't want to use your cellphone for navigation (ie: Apple CarPlay or Android Auto), you will need a head unit with built-in Garmin Navigation.
Any model of Kenwood unit that the model number starts with DNR or DNX will have the built-in Garmin nav.

WRT your question about the brand of camera they installed, I’d have to dig out my work order to check. All I know is it’s mounted on my license plate frame and it works good. And FWIW, you can also make it display when not in reverse.

+1 for the DMX907S. I installed it myself, wasn't too bad except I picked the hottest day of the year to do it. Previous owner already ran wires for the microphone and backup camera so it was pretty straightforward. No fit issues whatsoever, Crutchfield is wrong (at least for a 2005). I haven't heard the stock radio, but this was a huge improvement over the other aftermarket radio.

I prefer Pioneer stuff myself, been buying Pioneers for years and the only reason I changed them out was to keep up with technology. As far as cameras go I suggest you don't cheap out and buy a good quality one, I bought the Pioneer cameras myself, one other thing I'd suggest is putting both a front and rear camera on assuming you get a head unit that is multi-camera capable, the front camera really helps avoid front end damage when pulling up to parking blocks. I also suggest getting a head unit with built in navigation so you don't have to burn up data usage on your cell phone. If your stock radio has XM radio and you want it on your new system, you won't be able to reuse your stock XM tuner, however you can reuse the stock XM antennas, here's a thread I wrote that shows you how to do it. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-xm-tuner.html

Ke wood has the only HD screen on the market, other than the 10" units.. I wouldn't buy anything but an HD screen, the difference in resolution between a phone and a non HD screen is noticeable.
I'm partial to kenwood, but everyone has their own favorite. Kenwood has the best built in navigation, but most here cheap out and don't buy built in nav.

My JVC has the exact same 800x480 screen as the Kenwood DMX907S (JVC is just a rebranded Kenwood). Only the newest higher-end Kenwoods have 1280x720, and honestly, after living with 800x480 for a good six months now, I really don't feel like I need any higher resolution. You shouldn't be staring at the screen in your car that much anyway.
Honestly, I just can't stand the low reps screens after getting used to higher res screens on phones. It's a fairly expensive endeavor to put a HU in with the parts and all, I don't see a reason to cheap out and get the lownres screen. May as well keep the factory HU then and just add an aux input.
