Computer rest after battery changed
I had to change the battery on my 09 z06, how many miles will it take before the computer will reset?
Thanks;

Hard reset of the modules from battery replacement should not cause too many lost items.
Granted that you may need to re-index the windows, reset the clock on the radio, and get enough start/stop driving cycles in before it's ready for smog, the other items are not lost on the hard reset.

If you need all of the emissions monitors to run and read "ready" to pass a smog test it could be anywhere from 50 to 500 miles. Most of the monitors will "set" quickly, but the EVAP takes a long time, requiring multiple drive cycles. Many OBD II scanners car read the status of the readiness monitors, and some more advanced ones can force a monitor to run and "set"

If you need all systems to be green/ready, it can take quite awhile. I can pass inspection here with 1 system not ready which was good because I followed all the recommended drive cycle procedures multiple times and after 300 mi, the evap system still showed not ready.
