Why shouldn’t I buy a c6 grand sport?

Holy ****, that was my playbook! lol I bought a new base 2012 M7 and drove it for a year. Came on the forum, reading about the GS, seeing them in the street and said no way am I driving this car anymore, I hated it. I drove straight to MacMulkin who had the exact same car I had only obviously a GS 2LT, M7 and the same color. I bought it on the spot and never looked back. I traded that in 6 years later for my current 2019 GS. Point is I will never drive another base or narrow body Corvette again.

Be careful they are a problem -- I bought my Black 2013 GS with 2K miles on the clock.. an M6 of course.. drove it for a 6 months and then the first issue showed up.. I wanted it Torch Red instead of Black on some days.. so damn it - it was costly to fix it - I bought a Torch Red 2012 GS with an M6 - now they both sit in my garage - and be dammed if it is not a bitch trying figure which one to drive to the golf course.

Yes, Corvette ownership does come with its challenges.

I've owned a C3, C5 and two C6's. This C6 GS is everything I ever wanted in a street car. Sure there is maintenance issues but what car doesn't have maintenance?
Night Race Blue metallic was only offered in the C6 line in 2013 and the color is the reason I sold my 2012 GS for this 2013 GS.
I also have a 2004 ZO6 to autocross or track days.

I had the C5 vert for 9 years and got the 2011 4LT GS in April. The C5 vert was my first Vette and got it when the C7 was new. After learning more about Vettes, I knew my next would be a C6 GS coupe even including the C7. To me, the C6 wide body is the best looking Vette. I found this one in Wisconsin with 20,000 miles and brand new Michelin PS tires.
It has almost every option except the mag shocks which I like because I had leaking mag shocks on the C5 that I replaced with Bilsteins. My daughter got a 2018 Yukon Denali and it had mag shocks that were leaking. i found an entire aftermarket industry specifically to replace leaking GM mag shocks so no thanks.
Currently having some Z06 Spyder wheels powdercoated Comp Gray to replace the chrome wheels.
