Day-um. $16k = that thing was practically free.
Sarcasm is a difficult art in written form & I suspect the 'crappy LS2' comment was meant in a sarcastic manner. But if not, for the record I have an LS2, I absolutely love it and it is not crappy.

You got a great deal!
Congrats on your very good deal!!
I found a nice 2008 loaded 3LT Z51 vert here in Cali.Looked for a while from February-May 2021, prices kept going up Ended up getting a 12800 mile vert,paid a premium
( covid 19 pandemic) price for it. But oh well. I am embarrassed to say what I paid, but it was mid to high 30's. But I love the car and don't plan on selling it anytime soon.

So why was it salvaged? At that price... It was salvaged.
Good luck with it! Should be fun.

it was a lemon law buyback in 07. For a electrical grounding issue. It’s on the carfax.
But was fixed at dealer and re-released to public.
personally when I go to resell the car. I will not let the lemon title reflect price at all. It’s not a salvage. And has no accidents. So as far as I am concerned. It had a mild defect. That no longer is of any issue for 10+ years.

It doesn't appear that you need any more convincing that you got a great deal but--------I almost took Carvana's offer of $17,914 as they offered more than Varoom and Carmax. I decided to check KBB value and saw click for instant cash offer. After I entered pictures and other information, their offer is $19, 044. They provided a list of dealers that will buy it. Again my 05 is equipped with everything except navigation and has 74,050 miles on the odometer.

I don't drive it much and my wife hates riding it. I see you're 28 and next January I'll be 82. I don't have trouble getting in or out of it and I enjoy the manual transmission. It's just time to eliminate the expense of maintaining a car I hardly ever drive.

Congrats! Read up on a few quirk the 2005 M6 had (like parking in reverse) to ensure yours has had the TSB’s done. Otherwise you got yourself a great deal.

yeh I’m familiar with the parking in reverse. I don’t believe any TSB eliminated this? I used to have a 05 before this one.
what other tsb’s? Besides the column lock
