Default Over the road tire trouble needs ?

What would someone need to carry in case of a tire trouble or flat ? Emergency tire inflator or quick fix ? I don't have run flats so I would need something case of a emergency ? What might I need to use ?

Thank you !

I carry a Slime kit that has the compressor and sealant plus I put a small tire plug kit in the package as well.About $35 for everything and has served me twice,so well worth it!

keep runflat tires on car
Tire plug kit
tire slime can
air compressor
AAA

Preferably I like to use a plug and the compressor once the car is in a safe location. That way you can continue well beyond the mileage limits of the runflat tires and have a proper patch installed.

My Grand Sport has Michelin non run flats. I carry a plug kit, air compressor and a small electric jack that will fit under the car.Used it once on my C5. Haven't needed on the C6, yet. I found it's much easier to plug a tire if it's not mounted on the car.

I have a second cheapie compressor in case the first one fails. And a scissor jack. Never plugged one on the road but I don't know how yall are able to plug a vette tire when the car is practically laying on the ground with a flat.

It's going to be next to impossible to plug a flat tire on these cars out on the road.

Again, the answer is Triple A or towing coverage on your car's insurance policy.

I've had to plug only one in10+ years of running around on non runflats. I caught it before it completely deflated. Saw the nail, so there was no problem finding the leak. Tire pressure sensors alerted me to the trouble.

Killian, let me ad that if you choose to get a jack many guys have used a Bmw, Mercedes or a Honda jack. Myself I bought a new C4 jack with handle $60 online.

The same as any other tire. Pull over. Take the tire off if needed, inflate, plug, inflate, mount.

In BFE North Dakota. No idea how long a tow truck would take to get out there or if I had reception.

I have AAA, but my pluging a flat tire days are long gone. I Have decent Firestone Firehawks on the Vette now, but I priced 4 replacement priced 4 Michelin super sport ZP front and back and they come to $1268.36 before install, but I had Goodyear run flats on my 2003 C5 and they were a PITA, rode hard and had **** poor handling, but they were what was on it new I assume. Is the Michelin SS ZP any good for an old gent like myself. I broke my back in 2006 so bending over is a still painful experience for me.

Thank you,

I'm getting down the road myself. I have michelin zp's on mine and I'll get the same when I replace them. They are much smoother and quieter than the originals. Hang in there and take care of your back.
