Price Check on a Grand Sport

if you’re interested I called back to see what it sold for. They sold it for 39,499. He said there was no interest for months and then in the past week as chip shortage really set in he’s had like 10 calls.

I buy the ****, that designers think they know anything about. If you aren't in sourcing, procurement, or finance, you know very little. Steel has so many different grades you can't pinpoint, and broad brush strokes like "double and triple" shows you really don't know. Here's a few tips. Wait until tarrifs are announced for raw material imports by August and we'll see where things head. Right now global market focus is on domestic sourcing and massive stock-up due to shortages in multiple markets. I.E. again supply and demand. On top of that, due to employment shortages, there are large increases in logistics surcharges, as well as anything having to do with monomer or polymer bases due to import shortages due to logistics as well. Paper (which uses lumber) has massive demand due to e-commerce. There's also an on-going anti-dumping measure being released by the supreme court which will affect pricing on paper imports. Pressure sensitive construction also uses rubber and acrylic adhesives and silicones for release liners, increasing demand on all of the above, driving up prices. This has nothing to do with inflation. Go back to designing.

^^^Let's just say I hope you're right and inflation stays low and I'm wrong... For the good of the country.

I don't think it was the chip shortage. It's been my experience that's just how selling works, lol. I've had cars sit for 3 weeks with no interest, then have 5 calls about the car in a day. No price changes or anything. I don't have an explanation for it, maybe people take some time tonweed through the too good to be true scams and then eventually want to look at stuff that's priced fair and not misrepresented.

That is exactly what is going to happen buying a car right now. I am going to sell my ZL1 to a dealer today because they offered me what would have been high retail for it a year ago. Desirable used car prices have gone up 20%+ over the past year. Great time to sell; horrible time to buy. I'm going to take advantage and pocket some $$$ for my C8Z down payment in 20??

Hey All,
After getting screwed on the whole chip pandemic with GM (really rest of the world) I’m likely not getting my 21’ Camaro SS 1LE I ordered. I decided to look into the used Corvette market to see what’s out there. I found a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport 2LT 6sp with 11k miles on it. Looks to be great condition in the pictures, however, the deal wants 39.8k. Is this a good price?

For that kind of money, I'm thinking about selling my 2010 Corvette Grand Sport Convertible to try a C7 next, Mine's Triple Black under 23k miles. Raleigh NC, A6, Loaded 3LT, NAV with an updated DVD, has the $600 OEM GM Ipod interface updated now w/ Bluetooth module, W2M switch, Chrome Rims, newish non-RunFlat tires, til OEM spoiler lip, wired for Escort/Beltronics, Adult owned, Clear title, Clear history in hand....
on back... Tinted windows. I would sell, if I got close to that kind of money ~36k?? Is mine a good deal for ya? Anyone, let me know. SouthEast!

C6 prices have gone up in recent months for sure. Which is good if you want to get rid of yours I guess. For ;fun I put in my cars specs on Vroom and Carvana, although generic questions with no way to add certain options etc they are telling me I can get 36000 for my 2012 GS 3LT with 35000 miles on it...tempting for sure

I don't know how the others work, but on Carvana if you price the car by entering the VIN they know what options you have.

Hey Guys,
I found a 2009 Z06 (I believe a 2LZ since it has Bluetooth and heated seats) with 29k miles. 2 owner no accidents and looks pretty clean. Dealer is asking 48k and KBB has a trade in value of 42k. Is this a good price? I have an order coming for a 2021 Challenger Scat Pack Widebody with a couple nice options for 48k just trying to compare.

Z06 is faster, with more power and a lower weight. The scat pack has newer features, and a warranty vs none of the z06. The chally is much more spacious and has a backseat.
Personally, I would probably buy the z06, because new car depreciation is a bitch. Been there, done that, lost the money. You're welcome 2nd owners.

Think of it this way., the 2500 dollar fix with new heads makes more hp, and solves the potential issue. That's way less than you'll lose the second you drive that challenger off the lot.
And honestly, the 392 has its own issues. They will drop hydraulic lifters and destroy the cam due to their mds system. My dad's 6.4l ram had that happen, as have a lot of 392 vehicles. It can happen on Chevy 5.3L too, happened on my Colorado amazingly.
2500 to fix the heads is nothing. It's just a couple hpde days.

I wonder.......looking at this thread , if I decide to sale my 2011 Cyber Gray 3LT dual roof, NPP, NAV , Cup Wheels , Xpel front and rear quarter panels 16,000 miles. I wonder how much it’s worth.

If you do I'd be interested in what you get. I have the almost the same; '11 Cyber Gray 3LT GS 6M, new tires, dual roof, NPP, Nav (pulled out for aftermarket), Gray wheels, 3M coverage pretty much all over, and 11.5k miles. 1 minor chip on the hood and that's the only paint flaw. Only mods are a '12/'13 steering wheel, aftermarket radio, MGW shifter and sport pedals. Keeping me from selling is I know I'll never find another one in this condition.
