Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water!
Now I’m thinking of tail lights. Eagle Eye vs Morimoto? Clear or red lens? Light smoke, dark smoke or unpainted?
Hard to pass up Cole’s price on the Eagle Eyes (and that’s before his forum discount) but Morimoto’s would compliment the headlights and fog lights.
Thoughts and pics (especially of an Arctic White car) welcomed!

I like the Morimoto units better, personally. They look more upscale to me. They have been great on my car. Plus I like how much brighter they are than OEM which helps ensure I'm always seen in traffic. If you already have the Morimoto headlights, I would definitely pick up their tails. They would compliment them nicely.

The complete “Morimoto” look is definitely going to be a factor in my final decision. Red lens for sure. Undecided about the smoke effect.

Had the Eagle Eyes, but once I started changing all my lights to Morimotos, had to do the taillights too.

Personally, I like the eagle eyes. The individual LEDs look better to me, more period correct. But obviously that's all personal preference.

To me, the 3rd brake light is individual LEDs, so the regular brake lights should be too.

Good point re the 3rd brake light. I am leaning towards the Morimoto lights. I do like the look and the fact that it ties in with the headlights.
Now on to the lens. Red for sure. Not sure after that. Smoked? Light smoke/dark smoke/dark smoke center? Subjective for sure - I do think the red, without the smoke finish is a nice contrast to the Arctic White.

I have eagle eyes on my car for the last 8 years, love them, not interested to change.

I like the nice shape of the plastic lenses on the Morimoto tail lights ... nice change from those bland and flat OEM lenses.

Cole at Vette Lights can solve that problem with a third brake light that isn't individual LEDs which is what I did 👍

I like the Eagle Eyes better; I think they look more OEM. I am pretty sure I will have a light tint film added this year just to tone the bright red down a little. They are ridiculously bright.

just watched a review on you tube on these tail lights and considering brightness,price,and material the eagle eye came out on top.It will be the ones i buy.I also like the looks of the eagle eye.

Leaning towards the Morimoto lights with the red lens and a dark smoke center. Would really appreciate it if someone can send me a pic of that setup lit.

you should post a picture of the rear of your car..... and request people to post pictures of both styles on a white car....

My vote would be dark smoke red Morimotos

Here's a pic I took of mine this weekend at the Expo. It's the best shot I have of the rear at the moment and I'm out of town for business. I went with red lenses and added black vinyl wrap over the centers later. I like the look! The dark smoke centers would look similar. I can get a better shot when I get home on Friday.
