Should I trade my 370z for C6?
It’s decision time and I am feeling mixed and confused. I have a 2018 Nissan 370Z Sportstech with just 15K miles. It’s beautiful and I have enjoyed it. However, I have been driving these cars the past 12-15 years.
I have never had a Vette. Now, Caravana has offered $27k for my car. There is a 2013 C6 coupe available to me for $28k with just 25k miles.
As I read the pros and cons of both cars, folks say that the Nissan Z is better in corners and handles better but in straight line, the C6 is far better. The Nissan has 330 hp, the C6 has a hundred more but I am not into racing anyway. The Nissan has better tech with Bluetooth.
For long distance touring, comfort is #1, safety is #2, reliability kid #3 and maintenance.
Carvana will come to pick up my car but I still have 2 days to complete the deal. Looking for assurance, I guess. You guys have driven the C6, I haven’t.

Really a personal choice. Everyone here will tell you get the Corvette. I've had a 280Z, 300ZX and a 350Z. Loved everyone of them. I made the move to Corvette a few years ago with no regrets. Not as smooth as the Nissan, but the power is intoxicating.

Oof the 370Z is the only Nissan I’d buy other than the GT-R
But in all honesty I haven’t owned a Nissan to know their reliability & if I had to put money on it I’d say the C6 is more reliable & most definitely a better overall performance bargain
Test drive a stock C6 before you make your final decision, but I can assure that you’ll fall in love on the first test drive!
I previously owned a 2012 Audi S4 which I loved but once I got into a C6 there was no going back!

Who are these "folks" you say that the 370Z is better in the corners? You already said you don't want to race so does the handling in the corners really matter? You also say the 370Z has better tech.
As others have said, go test drive a Corvette for yourself vs relying on people on the internet to make your life choices. I knew I always wanted a Corvette and got one when I can afford the one I wanted.
If it's only going to cost you $1k more to get out of your 370Z to a corvette, that almost seems like a no brainer.
If the Corvette is calling your name and you want one, pull the trigger. You only live once.
Best of luck to you.

2011 370Z base vs c6 3LT
I have both. Nissan cornering feels significantly better to me. Corvette significantly better for sound. 370Z loud on road. Most of my trips less than 20 miles each way with Nissan. 300ZX lasted 250k before needing even a clutch. Confident in Nissan quality. Would choose Corvette over 370.

The 370z beats the corvette in no measurable performance aspects. It doesn't handle as well, doesn't corner as hard, doesn't accelerate or brake as fast, it is just in the same league from a performance aspect. It also costs more to insure and isn't as reliable.
That said, around town, the 370z is a lot more fun. The C6 and newer are just too fast to be fun on the street. You punch it and you're speeding in 4 seconds. It's limits are so high that you can't even get to the fun point of corners on the street. You can Rev out a 370z and bang through some gears, you've got maybe 2 gears in a vette you can rush through.
It depends what you want. If you're gonna go on a road course, the vette is better in every way. If you're doing road trips, the vette is better in every way. But if it's a daily driver around town and to work and back... The Z is the more fun to drive car.

I went from a 300ZX to a C5,You need to drive a C6 to tell if its the car for you.I almost traded the C5 in for a 370 Nismo.I have a 2005 Frontier Nismo(230k) and love it. Held on to the C5 till I could find a C6 Grand sport. The Z is a great car for the money, but Its no Corvette Every Corvette owner can tell you about driving their car roof off and some kids saying that's my car!

Corvette is next level compared to 370z. I've only driven the 350z and it was a nice car. Corvette is more intense and has more of a cool factor and longer history if that's a consideration. If your just looking to do an occasional highway blast then the Corvette is the way to go.

I had a 280Z and my son had a 370Z. Both were a blast to drive in their own right. My C6 offers a different driving experience but the acceleration is by far the most impressive over a Z. Nothing beats the roar of a V8 in my opinion. As others have suggested you should do a test drive in the vette and see if it is for you. From my personal experience a corvette will be in my garage for the rest of my life,

I'm retired also. Had many cars. Had and driven Nissan Z cars. A Z car does not compare to a C6 Vette. I'm keeping my C6 and if anyone offered any number of Z cars for it, there would be no deal. There is no comparison between a Japanese 6 cylinder kinda sports car and a classic American V8 world class sports car.

Burning Brakes
As a former owner of a 2009 c6 with the z51 package & 1LT trim level, seating comfort was regularly a problem for me and my wife on drives over an hour. Not a c6 bash - the GT seats in our c7 solved that problem.
I've never been in a 370z, so I cannot offer a comparison on the seats or overall NVH between the two vehicles.
I'd say the usual advice applies: drive a c6 and determine whether it will work for you. It's definitely a fun ride, reasonably safe and reliable, and maintenance is pretty low (for a well cared for car).

Sold my 370z, agreed to purchase a 2013 C6, sight unseen. Just pictures. I fly out 1500 miles tomorrow, be starting drive back on Friday. First time I am sitting in car, be driving it 3 days straight!

I've driven both and I disagree with that the 370Z handles better. The steering rack feels better to me and makes it feel more nimble, but that's about it. I'd put my money on a C6 going around a track faster compared to a 370Z, with the biggest limitation for a bone stock C6 being the absolutely mediocre run-flats.
But, drive a C6 and see what you think. That will tell you if it's worth switching.

Congrats! That'll be a fun drive home. You just went from stale MacDonald's to prime rib!

Huge congrats!. I bet you'll have a great time and no regrets. That's been my experience. Just a suggestion and that's to take it easy and don't be too aggressive, especially with the go pedal, until you get used to it.
