Looking into a rear spoiler for my silver 2009 and wanted opinions on the best manufacturer and design. Thanks for your input.

Best looking is very subjective.

Check out this thread I created long ago to see the various spoilers.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...to-thread.html

I think many people will suggest C7 Carbon and the extended or "extreme" ZR1 spoiler. Or the full-length GM spoiler, or "Ron Fellows" spoiler.

Best of luck.

I personally like the standard ZR1 style spoiler. It is clean, and looks like it was intended to be there. Actually its the only C6 spoiler I like. Big wings are fugly.

There are a few manufacturers from OEM to Extreme Online Store. Not crazy expensive either.

If you want painted to match without doubt the best value per dollar spent is The Spoiler Company at $235 for a ZR1 replica.

There might be better spoilers and this spoiler does varies slightly from the OEM spoiler with regards to the brake light. But only a real Corvette nerd would ever see the difference. The paint, fit and finish is as good as any I've seen. They also make an extended version for about the same price.

Hope that helps.

Unfortunately, for any of you folks that want a the genuine GM "Full Width" Spoiler ... aka: "Ron Fellows" Racing Spoiler, they are not available from GM anymore in any of the colors. You will need to look to the aftermarket if you want that style rear spoiler.

Like someone mentioned above ... a good "ZR1 style" rear spoiler can be purchased cheaply from Extreme Online Store (EOS). This spoiler fits perfectly and does not require and cutting, sanding, trimming or tweeking to get it to fit.

For around $160 - $170, this spoiler is a good deal.

Damn was just curious, and looked at what the OEM ZR1 spoiler costs....they want $615. Ouch. Would definitely go the extreme online store route at around $240 painted. OEM is nice, but not that nice lol.

If you get the spoiler painted have them paint the black door handles at the same time as it really dress up the look of the car and should only cost you a couple dollars more. The door handles are a simple 5 minutes to remove.

My Centennial GS had the OEM ZR1 spoiler as part of the package. I like it a lot.

That genuine OEM ZR1 spoiler used to cost upwards of $1,000 from the dealership back before the C7 came out.

I have one from RPI it fits good sitting on car however the fitment around the light is very poor in my opinion. I am actually thinking of buying a different ZR1 spoiler. I have been hesitant because I want to make sure the area around the light is solid. The RPI light area is paper thin and flimsy. Anyone recommend one with great fitment overall especially around the brake light?

Haven't had any problems with my EOS spoiler around the center brake light ... but it is pretty thin in the area just below the brake light.

This is exactly the reason The Spoiler Company redesigned the brake light area of their spoiler.

Best spoiler, is what came on the car, since it had the front and rear end balanced in regards to aerodynamics.
If you change the rear out to a ZR1 style, then need to add in both front air splitter, as well as side splitters, to keep the front end aerodynamic balanced with the rear still.

So package 4, will give you the best balanced results.
