Well, we always recommend to just use regular soap and damped towel. Leather makers always tell not to use any chemicals to clean the leather. They make your leather shiny in the beginning but eventually ruin the leather.

What about good old fashioned saddle soap? I've used it on my leather upholsteries for decades. It cleans surface dirt and leaves behind a slowly penetrating lanolin that keeps the leather buttery soft.
The worst thing to use on real leather is WD-40 or anything with silicone.
