Did I over pay for my Vette?

Honestly, people undervalue these cars so much its insane. What he paid for that car would get him a far inferior, much older, mind boggling ly slower and worse ha dling e46 m3... With likely a lot more miles. And then he'd have a crap load of expensive upkeep and repairs to fix.
Or he could have gotten a way high mile e92 m3 that would need the rod bearings replaced as preventative maintenance and also would be slower in every way.
He could have gotten an Slk55 that would be smaller and less practical, slower, and has that wonderful Benz reliability and upkeep price.
He could have gotten a super early year 996 that would need the IMS dealt with, and likely would be of the vintage where the eater pump could break off chunks of plastic and lodge in the heads and crack them.

Must account for the times re preowned C6 pricing, now.
Resale's at a high I've never seen due to a variety of forces negating otherwise 'normal' depreciation cycles.
Paid fair money considering miles/options/upgrades.
Only thing left is enjoying the money spent, and that won't be hard.

Appreciate all the feedback, the price was originally set at $27,500 from the original private owner but unfortunately COVID 19 got the best of him and when I got the news of his passing his wife also lowered the price to $23,000..
nonetheless, the C6 is the best bargain for money under $30,000.
Nothing out performs this car for the money, I’ve already hit 150 MPH on the PCH!

Now, make sure you have some extra cash set aside so you will have enough money to get the car out of the impound lot if you get caught doing that again.
Oh ... and a little money stashed away to pay for taxi rides after they take away your driver's license.

Two things:
A) Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.
B) If you think it was a good deal then it must be.
Car looks great and enjoy the ride!!

I think you got a damn good deal considering how the prices have gone up the past year. I paid a little premium for mine in Nov 19 when prices were noticeably lower than now, but it was what I wanted. Now its actually worth what I paid for it, lol.

I'm no expert but I think you got a good deal. I paid $20,500 back in Feb for my '08 with 39,500 miles. But mine has no options other than Crystal Red paint and gumby wheels. As soon as I bought it, I spent $1,100 on Z51 suspension parts. I think I got a great deal from a private party who had a 2019 on the way and needed garage space. Prices have increased lately, and you are in Ca which seems to increase price.

Had you paid $5k less or $5k more, it doesn't really make much diference as long as you bought it to keep and not to flip. If it make you happy, it's a good deal. If you keep it for 5 years and then sell it, the depreciation cost will be far outweighed by the enjoyment you got out of it. Can't say that about a BMW.

I think I overpaid for my Corvette by two thousand dollars, but the car came with all the service records, was in in great shape, had new tires, and all services were up to date. I knew when I got the car there would be absolutely nothing for me to do.
