Noticing my oil pressure pegging when engine is cold almost 80 PSI when I accelerate. Comes down to 35 40 if I take foot off pedal. After it heats up it stays in the 30 to 50 range. Running mobil 1 and a GM oil filter. Anyone else seeing this ? 2013 GS .

Dry sump? It's normal. I keep the engine speed down until the oil gets up to 150-160 degrees.

Same. Using the Driven ls30 oil, in this cooler weather mine will run up to about 80 until the oil gets to over 100 degrees, then it will drop off.

Totally normal. Simple Chemistry/Physics; colder oil viscosity is higher. More pressure needed to circulate oil. As oil rises to normal operating temp, oil pressure drops to normal range.
