Default 2011 steering wheel airbag emblem needed.

HI, I am looking for ideas on how to order the emblem on the steering wheel air bag cover for a 2011 Chevrolet 100 anniversary special corvette? I cannot find a vendor who sell them.

Help

Centennial corvette was a 2012 model year.

Here’s one of several old threads regarding the airbag cover emblem: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ag-emblem.html

As stated the Centennial Edition was a 2012, not 2011 & you can’t get just the center emblem. You’ll need the airbag cover.

2011 was in fact 100 years for Chevrolet, however, the Corvette division of Chevrolet screwed up and made the Centennial Edition of the C6 a 2012 year model ... mistake

But, never fear .... I have a 2011 GS and here is my tribute to 100 years of Chevrolet

This is my 2011 GS steering wheel, with the outer piece of a C6 Centennial Edition wheel center cap attached (using RTV silicone sealant)

Disclaimer ... I am not trying to be a poser by making my standard GS look like a Centennial Edition GS ... The only thing I changed was the center emblem on the steering wheel.

Again, my tribute to 100 years of Chevrolet (1911 - 2011)

I don’t think they screwed up, the article I linked said Chevy was founded on Nov 3, 1911. As most new model year vehicles are released fall of the preceding year, having the 2012 be the Centennial edition makes sense as 1912 would’ve been the 1st model year vehicle produced.

i used the centennial wheel caps and front & rear emblems on my 2012 GS. I had an overlay on before but it started coming off and I could find a replacement.

I looked into replacing the airbag but decided it wasn’t worth the expense or hassle.

Sorry to disagree with you Jab... Forget the actual month in the year of 1911 that the first 1911 model year Chevy was first sold to the public.

It's just like cities that celebrate there Centennial ... If the city was founded in the year 1911, the official Centennial is celebrated 100 years later ... In the year 2011.

Corvette Screwed the Pooch on this one. ... The month don't mean ****

Look at that GM photo I posted above ... It even says "Chevrolet Centennial 2011"

Dude, who cares if it was 2011 or 2012, it's a discussion that can't be "won". It's nonsense to keep trying to prove who is right and who is wrong.

The FACT is Chevrolet made the "2012 Cennitinal Edition" with those emblems, even if they did it a year late. lol

I like them so I put them on my 2012. If you like them, put them on your 2011. Who cares what other people think. It's like people that put Z51 on their cars. It's their car, let them decorate it however they want. There are people that put C7 wheels on their C6. I have C6 Z06 spyder wheels on my car instead of the stock GS wheels. OMG, that's blasmany! jk.

People on here are quick to judge others and to offer their opinions when they weren't asked, or conversely looking for others' "seal of approval" as it means more if someone on the internet likes your car.

A question to Turbo and Bangkok, if you're replacing the airbag and or just the airbag emblem, why stop there? Why not get the wheel caps, front and rear emblems, and the sticker for the B-Pillar?

That's why the 2012 Centennial Edition is the best C6 Corvette. It's f'd up like a three-legged buffalo nickel.

For me this is for an original 100 anniversary corvette that there was damage to the airbag logo done by a mechanic.
