On the fence about fender hash marks.

LOVE the stripes. Don't really care about the discussion around them...they look cool and set the car apart. It looks way more distinctive with the stripes.
TBH I don't really like the red on the Cyber Gray that much, I prefer my white/silver, but obviously that's a matter of preference.

If you decide to get them, please either get them from GM, or a company that makes replica's, and have them properly applied. Nothing messes up the look of a Corvette then to see someone put homemade hash marks on their vehicle or put them on incorrectly. I've seen the stripes improperly extended to the edge of the hood, and/or put on backwards .
Even worse is putting them on a Base model.

I saw them on eBay that are supposedly GM C6 surplus for $279.

You can get them direct from GM for $407

Here is a CF thread talking about them

Fake ones can be had for $50, but you get what you pay for.

I was looking through the Grand Sport thread and am now considering adding the hash marks to my cyber grey as it didn't come with them. IMO on some colors they really stand out and look very good. When initially ordered with the stripes did the original owner pick the color, or were certain color stripes only applied to corresponding car colors? I've no idea what I'd put on, maybe a silver or red set, perhaps something I haven't thought of yet.

That's a very good idea as they would tie in with the black convertible top and interior. There's a local shop that does custom signs so maybe they could come up with something.

The hash marks are a pretty simple design. Most decent sign/wrap shops could do it easily. They may have a program that would allow you to see how they would look on the car before you have it done. Good luck!

I thought the Heritage package included two tone seats with "Grand Sport" embroidered in the headrests. That's what my 2011 had. Could be he just added the stripes because he liked them. I do too.

When I was researching the car for my friend prior to purchase I went over the RPO codes, the Z15 for “Grand Sport Heritage” was listed. However, seems the original owner, for whatever reason special ordered this car and opted out of the 2-tone seat and QB1 for headrest embroidery that came as part of the Z15 package. I noticed a few other items such as NPP (a must), US9 bump on the radio package, R8C for museum pickup (I am sure that was fun…). The one item I can’t figure out is code VPK (GCA Package) whatever it is, it was costly, over 2K on the order sheet.

It's your car and it's up to you but I advise against it. The C6 is a beautiful design and destined to be a classic. Stripes just detract from the beauty of the car. Don't get me started about the red C6 in my neighborhood with flames on it Not only that but I see Dodge Challengers and Camaros these days with fender stripes so any distinctiveness is lost.

Astepup, how about some pictures of your car. I'll help by posting some you shared on another thread. Helps to see the car before people start advising what stripes to get.

Interesting because the information I found indicates that the GCA package was dealer installed and therefore not available for Museum delivery. Here is more info on the package http://www.teamzr1.com/ubbthreads/ub...at&Number=2321
Doesn't really matter, what the codes mean, not my vette, owner is very happy so I guess that's the most important option.

For the C6 gen cars, I'm in the no stripes camp, however, I will add that I do like the stripes on some color combos. Your car....your decision.
