Default Tire inflator

I just took the run flats off my 05 coupe and put Continental Extreme Contacts on. Now that I no longer have run flats on I am looking for a tire inflator kit for the car. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have 05, and haven't run them in years, but I am member AAA Premier, plus carry plug kit and compressor.

I won't go back, much better more comfortable ride.

Hi Coachkk This might be of interest to youI
I purchased this set from Amazon . This set has metal insertion tools and less likley to break.
You will need a Cheap 12v Air compressor that will plug into cig lighter or power plug. Make sure and get a compressor that will make at least 150 lbs search Ebay or Amazon. about $5-$15 You will also need Side cutters or cutting pliers, a marking chalk or crayon and a small water bottle of soapy water. This should all fit in a small bag. and cost under $25. A cell phone will also work if you can locate AAA, Road service or a good friend. This should get you at least 50 miles and no need for jack etc. Of course a full Blowout requires more, but with good tires they are rare. The repair may last forever but you can always bring it to a Tire Shop

Tooluxe 50002L Universal Tire Repair Kit to Fix Punctures and Plug Flats, 35-Piece Value Pack, Ideal for Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, ATV

I bought a pump from harbor freight and a plug kit from Walmart. About $35 in total

I'd add a $10 can of Fix a Flat just to give me more options in an emergency and call it good.

Interested and very timely thread topic!

Finally joined a local Corvette Owners Club last week, haven’t been to an official club meeting yet but I have been “informed” about Corvette ownership etiquette, specifically the waving and assisting fellow Corvette owners who may be experience travel troubles.

On Sunday I got to practice Corvette ownership etiquette, on I-10 just before the exit to Busy-Bee, westbound side I saw a white C5 pulled over with lights flashing. I pulled over and offered assistance, seems they had a flat to their passenger side front tire and were not equipped to self repair. It seems they are new Corvette owners, an older retired couple who had just purchased the car a few weeks ago. They mentioned the previous owner said the car was equipped with “run-flat’s”, well after further inspection, they were not. I offered to drive the husband over to the exit where he could get immediate assistance from one of the several gas stations in that exit instead of calling and waiting for AAA.

He was very gracious and offered me a $100.00 tip for the help. II did not take his money and recommended he save it and either purchase a flat tire kit or by a set of real run flats. He asked me which I prefer, I asked him, if you did have a self repair kit, would you feel comfortable doing the repair work on the side of a busy expressway? He said “NO…” I said same here, that is why I use run-flats. Before I left he took a picture of the sidewalls of my front tire, guess I made a sale?

Well done, VINAL. We could use a lot more of your kind of consideration. And omg, don't miss a wave. Doing so risks burning at the stake.

Just bought the dewalt tire inflator. Tired of dealing with cords, and already have the tools for the batteries.

I bought a compressor that clips to the battery. Those have a much higher CFM then one that plugs into a socket inside the vehicle. If you draw too much power, you blow the fuse. I didn't want to be waiting for an hour to air up a large Corvette tire.
