Should I Buy it? 2009 with 59,000 - $22,000
Hey All,
I have searched the forum and I wasn't able to find a thread on watch-outs, etc. so I apologize for the newbie question.
I am looking at a 2009 coupe with 59,000 and he is asking $22,000. bluebook says that is a solid price for the car, the owner is 72 and loves the car to the point that it never sees rain, but I know he hasn't done any of the 60k maintenance and I am wondering if there are any watch-outs or if this is a good price for the car.
Any advice you all can share would be greatly appreciated. This would be my first corvette. Thank you.

Auto or manual?
Z51?
3LT?
Original owner?
Maintenance records?
Tire condition/age/brand?
Brakes replaced yet?
Harmonic balancer condition?
(More rare) fuel smell TSB done?

THANK YOU... While I feel completely inept after attempting to answer these questions, I know what I am going to look into. Thank you so much.

Sounds like a good car at a great price.

I'd say a fair price at that mileage for an auto, but not a great price.
If it needs new tires that's another $1200, so keep that in mind or use it to bargain.
Good luck

An '09 needing fluids changed is no big deal, an 72 y/o owner's probably not beat of it either.
He wasn't Don Garlits, which is a very good tell re how its been treated.
Bet the 59K were very easy miles too making this one a safe bet, IMO.

I just bought a 2009 convertible with 1400 miles this past sunday, Z51, auto, 3LT, loaded, for 27k. I think I'd either get it priced lower or wait....My car is showroom new.

Is it at least a 2lt...they have the Heads up display...a must for me anyway. You might want to drive a Z51 corvette to compare. Good luck.

Since some are offering comparisons.
A week ago I bought an 07 in good, not excellent but really good condition for 17,000. 48k miles. I felt it was a good deal compared to others I looked at over the last few months.
My friend has an 08 with 32000 miles in amazing condition. Practically flawless. He wouldn’t come off 24k.

Price seems a tad high to me based on the miles. I just bought a 2006 3LT with 26k miles, clean carfax, 2 owner perfect car for $20k I realize mine's not an LS3 car but there's my two cents.

Just a thought might look at Nissan 370Zs around that price. Owned one several years ago car was a blast to drive. If you are going to buy the 09 think around $2500 for service, tires, etc.

LS3 C6 vs. 370Z? I don't consider those two cars to be in the same league performance wise.
