Default 60-130 roll in vs starting at 60

Okay first of all I know I should just go do this myself but I'm going to be busy for a few day so I'd thought I'd just ask some people here in the forum before I go back out. Anyone timed their 60-130 from rolling into it from a much lower speed or a dig vs just starting from 60 (even 58-59 to make sure it's accurate). I'm pretty sure rolling into is going to be much faster since their is momentum but how much faster has anyone noticed? I've only tried starting at 59-59 and started in 3rd because 2nd gear has no traction at those speeds without heating the tires up and got 6.0

Why the strange mph range considering most rolls are a 100 mph gap.... so no... I've never actually timed a 60-130 roll, never even considered it. Just curious why/how you chose 60-130.

Actually 60-130 times are pretty popular. Anyways that was the only option available other than 0-60

Because Dragy is arguably the most popular performance measuring device and that’s one of the measurements.

Unless there is some way around it you have to buy the software as well. It's $150 I believe.

Yup... already found a used one locally for $60. I'm still learning, it should be interesting if nothing else :-)

Nothing to install with the Dragy other than install the Dragy App in your smartphone .... Does not plug into your OBD port.

The actual Dragy device can be in your shirt pocket when used .... no wires going into the Dragy device at all (it's all done by Bluetooth)

Looks BIG in the photo above ... It's actually about 3" long !

And once you get the Dragy, you can use it with anything (along with your cellphone) ..... Motorcycle, F-16, Bicycle, Top Fuel dragster, Boat, Boeing 737, Skateboard, Cessna 172, Mig 21, etc

It also works when I'm out street racing in my 2004 Prius...… I don't win very often.

No problem at all with mine ...... Almost dead accurate in comparison to 1/4 mile time slips

ETs are within a couple hundreds of a second (not tenths) of the official 1/4 mile time slips ... 1/4 mile MPH within a couple of 10th of a MPH vs the time slip.

I can't see how this thing could get bad reviews ... it's accurate as hell and works all the time.

Maybe some early production units had some problems ? ?

I read that some complained that the battery in it would not fully charge ... mine always fully charges

BTW ... It will pay for itself in the money you spend taking your car to the drag strip (and the amount of miles you have to drive in order to get there)

Here is a good comparison between drag strip track time slips vs the Dragy vs the very expensive VBox

Mine was within a tenth last time at the track. Usually within 0.05s and within 1mph trap speed.

Actually the difference had to do mostly with how deeply you staged at the track. The dragy starts exactly where you are parked vs you get a little rollout at the track. My time slips were barely faster almost every pass except the one pass I deep staged on

I posted this in another Dragy thread that I started ... but here is a video showing how close the Dragy is in relation to the actual 1/4 mile time slip >

There is 2 or 3 passes in this video:

Getting back to the OP's question. The only difference should be the time it takes you to matt the throttle as long as you are in the same gear. Momentum has nothing to do with anything here, you have to accelerate the same mass from the same speed. If you were testing a turbo car it would be different due to turbo lag or if you were comparing an auto that has to down shift but naturally aspirated manual should be virtually the same.
