Very nice. So how long did it take to do all four? (I don’t mean from 5/17/20 when you started the thread til you finished them yesterday). I mean actual time spent doing it.

Thanks , I'd say it takes about 5-6 hours per wheel or so to disassemble, clean and remove old silicone, wet sand and polish, then re assemble.

But waiting on replacement parts, one wheel had a bend that took a shop almost 2 weeks to do , and being sidetracked with other projects was the reason it took so long.

ive done 2-3 sets of wheels that definitely was NOT worth all the hassle ,wayyy too much labour for a very tiny financial return, sometimes no return at all .

a few times I swore id stop messing around with wheel refinishing but I always get sucked back in lol

deep down I love it

thanks a lot man, appreciate it . I think youd be surprised as to how well polished aluminum withstands the elements

Ive had a few sets that were fully polished and ive had no issues with maintaining them , and they were a much more complex design then these

Ive heard ceramic coating them works great as well, but the clear powdercoat idea sounds good too, I didn't even know they could do that

Lol yes just by hand, no machines at all for the polishing, I did use a Dremel to clean the inside of the bolt holes, and hub bore, lots of oxidation in there

But honestly man, this set is childs play compared to a set I did for my lexus , if your bored and have a minute check this link out

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...-all-time.html

Started as a brushed face with a clear coat, stripped the clear, and sanded out the machined brush lines, starting at 120 I think, all the way to 2500 , then machine polished with a metal paste.....after finishing 1 wheel I did not want to proceed witht he other 3, but I did anyways

Labour of love I guess

You're crazy man!
But I've got mad respect for all that effort!

Those are nice wheels but they are HRE 845R's, not 895R's.
