Default Anyone here using the Paddle Shifter Extensions ?

This seems like a pretty neat item for us folks that have the A6 transmission .... C6 'Paddle Shifter Extensions'

These can be ordered in either black or brushed aluminum.

The website says these are bolt-on and do not use double-sided tape ... About 1 hour install

I haven't ordered these extensions yet ... just looking for some feedback from anyone who has installed them.

Promo code CF20 or 20OFF reduces the price from $99.95 down to $79.96 with free shipping

https://modifiedvettes.com/product/c...er-extensions/

BTW .... Here are some on eBay for only $25 + $7.41 shipping

The problem I see with these cheaper paddles is that they are made from ABS plastic

I think that is just the adapters that are made of plastic on Ebay, does not include the paddles. The adapters from the other vendor are plastic too. You can attach your paddles you buy separately from Ebay.

Here are the more expensive paddles ..... they look to be solid aluminum to me

Maybe I'm confused here ? ?

I was referring to the Ebay link, he is only selling the plastic adapter to screw what ever paddles you want to buy onto the adapter. He recommends some in the body of his for sale post.

Oh .. ok

Well, if I understand this correctly, if I buy the more expensive aluminum paddles ($79.96), that's all I need to buy (comes with everything needed) ?

Correct. The Ebay guy is the one that came up with this, if you scroll to the body part of his ad, he has partnered with modifiedvettes to sell the whole kit. I think they basically buy the paddles, attach it to the plastic module you change out and charge you a premium for it to make it easier for you. Or you can buy the module for the $32.41 shipped and buy your own paddles for about $15 shipped and put it together yourself.

Still it is much cheaper than the S2T Paddles that I purchased. I love them but they are costly over this version.

I bought a set from Modifiedvettes when he came out with them around the Holidays, a much needed improvement. They look and feel superior to stock. Pretty cheap and easy install mod.

I bought the plastic parts from him too and paddles from Amazon. Waiting for warmer weather to install.

I brought a set of extensions from him when he first posted and ordered the paddles he recommended from Amazon. I love 'em, esp. with the F1 Mod.

I bought a set of extensions from modifiedvette (79.95) over a month ago. I bought the black. Construction was good. Easy to install. I did the f1 wiring change while I was in there. On these, remove the shift module along with the factory shift paddle. Then remove the screws to remove factory paddle, then replace with extended paddle. And reassemble.

I installed the paddles from Modified Vettes about a month ago. these are top quality aluminum, not plastic. The install was not hard but you do have to drop the air bag to gain access to the shift modules. I did not of the F-1 mod because of the time I had but may go back and do it later. Best paddle mod you can buy.

What year did the C-6 go to the left for down shift....and right for upshift?? Or are people putting on the incorrectly marked paddles and either not caring, or not realizing it?

LOLOLOL MAC....and touche !! But let us not forget that this is Corvette forum. To "Assume" that everyone that changed the paddles also did the wiring swap around thing would be making an *** out of U & ME.....LOL. So maybe we can see who will admit to doing the paddle only swap without doing the wire swap.....anyone ??.......

Me. I did not have time to do the wire swap when installing the paddles. The hardest part is the actual disassembly of the OEM paddle modules and the install of the new paddles which is not that hard but does take some time. I will go back and do the wire swap later.
