Hi,
We have a 08 C6 and the rear hatch pull down only works sometimes. Any idea how to fix this issue.

Are you just dropping the hatch lid, or are you pressing it down with your hand?

I have a 2011 and I just replaced the whole pull down mechanism. It was about $375 from Chevrolet. It comes with the whole metal bracket and I put that in but once I had the old one out I realized I could have unbolted the solenoid part from the new bracket and just replaced that. Would have been much easier.

My 09 needs the door or window open to close the hatch.
Pull down works fine then.

Mine was not only not pulling the hatch down but also had trouble opening. It didn't matter if I used the fob or any of the buttons to release it. It would take 4 or 5 try's before it would work to open or close.

Often times it’s weak battery issue. There are many threads to search.

After Vette DD asked "Are you just dropping the hatch lid, or are you pressing it down with your hand?" He got me thinking. I have been setting the hatch down and then pushing lightly closed with my hand.
Doing it that way the pull down only worked only once in a while. Just went out and tested the latch pull down by just letting the hatch fall closed from about a 8" open and it works perfectly!
