Who's Running Pilot Sport A/S 3+?
Been thinking about getting a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires so I can drive the Grand Sport year round?
Anyone running these? How do you like them? How do they compare to summer tires as far as grip and handling are concerned?
My GS had an Edelbrock E-force and I am at 520 wheel HP and TQ. I am currently running Michelin Pilot Super Sports and they do pretty good in the summer for grip. Just wondering if I go to the A/S 3+'s what I could expect.
Thanks.

When I replaced the OEM Goodyears I went with the Pilot Sport A/S 3+. Less noise and better grip...very pleased with the Michelins.

I replaced my original Goodyear's with whatever the then name of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires was about 8 years ago. Just replaced them last week with the updated 3+ version.
I only use the car on the street. The Pilot Sports lasted way longer, were more quiet and more comfortable, never gave me the impression that they had less grip in the summer, had better grip (I think) in the rain, and importantly for me . . . on the occasion when I get stuck away from home when it starts snowing, they made an enormous difference. (I once was surprised by less than an inch of snow with the original tires, and I had to leave the car by the side of the road -- I can get home safely in light snow now.
I'm sure summer tires work better for some people, but I've never regretted switching. BTW: each of my three sets were run-flats.

I think 520whp is gonna be tricky on them. It'll be less tricky than trying to drive it with the summers on inn30F weather though.

I when I bought my car these tires are on them and my car is a manual with 450 RWHP. I am very impressed with these tires for over performance and ability to run in cold temps.
Note, I drive my car very hard and my daily driver has summer tires. If you need a tire for lower temps you will not be disappointed.
Dedicated summer rubber would be best performance choice for high HP or tracking.

I thought about those tires but they only come in run flat. Decided to go with Michelin Sport 4S. Of course it’s such a popular tire that it’s on back order till March 10th. So it’s waiting game to put them on my new Forgeline VX1 wheels.

After a lot of research I chose them to replace my stock tires. While I've only driven about 100 miles on them, my ride is far smoother and I have a lot less road noise.

Pilot A/S 3+
I’ve had mine for about a month. Replaced my Goodyear run flats. I really like the tire, much more quite and comfortable than the run flats. I get fairly aggressive on the twisties near my house and they never loose traction. I’ve never tracked, nor do I plan too, but my average highway speed is 87, I’m really happy with them. I think they’re still a little noisy, but a big improvement. Also I’m in California so the roads are bad just about everywhere. BTW I have a base model 3LT.

I put them in my 06 base vert and loved them.

Melting Slicks
I ran them year round on my BMW 335i convertible for four years. Just sold that car back in September. They are great tires. I highly recommend them. I just put a set on my 2013 ZR1 this winter. Plan to run them 6-8 months every year and run my Cup 2 tires the other part of the year.

OK. If you actually have 650 whp you have ZERO traction under hard acceleration.

Haven't driven it in ambient temps above 65 degrees with these tires so far. Hooks up on cold roads better than Alpin PA4, PS2s, Super Sports, or Cup 2 tires....all of which I have experience with. No matter what tires, you have to manage the throttle to the conditions to hook up with high hp cars.

The A/S 3+ tires are a great tire. Had them on my C6 and put them on my 19 Z06. They hook great in the summer, comparable to PSS and can be driven in lower temps without losing the back end like the pilot sports and cup 2's unless you try.

have continental's on my 08 summer tire! Non run flats.
