Default Tell me about your *taillights*

Would like to go for LED taillights. Choices seem to be Eagle Eye ($280) and Morimoto ($480). I am inclined to go with the former because of price; both look great, although they are indeed different styles.

My main concern is quality and warranty. Eagle Eye is one year, whereas Morimoto is 10. Can anyone speak to the longevity of these products, especially Eagle Eye? The short warranty of Eagle Eye makes me think the units will not last.

Pics welcome, too!

I make my own! I use the stock tail lights and install Diode Dynamics halos in them. I think they are the best looking. I've done around 10 sets for others.

I've had my eBay eagle eyes on for like 3 years, no issues.

No issue's with my Morimoto's! Either one will be a greater improvement than stock.

Haven't heard of any issues with the Morimoto tails, yet. I do see a thread pop up from time to time regarding one or two LEDs failing on the Eagle Eyes. (I would assume that was after years of usage, though.)

Both are a great upgrade over stock. Boils down to personal preference.

Had my Eagle Eyes for over 4 years with no problems. JWM tinted them a little darker than normal for me. Don't really like the look of either unless they are tinted, just my personal opinion.

I also have had the Eagle Eyes in for about 4 years with no issues, but recently installed Morimoto headlights so now I will have to go with their taillights, and fog lights....Good luck with your decision.

LOVE my Morimoto tail lights. They are more expensive than competitors. But in my opinion, the quality is worth the higher price. They are the best in the business. Also, a few vendors here offer discounts for being a forum member

IMO the Morimoto's are worth the price. PM VetteLights and I think you can get them cheaper with the forum discount.

I am considering Morimoto but have seen a few people with minor gremlins on the forum. It seems the issues are with cars that have fully changed out with headlights, taillights, fogs etc...

I've had sweeplites on my vette for the last 5 years and they still work great but just bought the Morimoto's. I have not installed yet but like the look.
