Default Changing color on my Z06 calipers

It is time for me to change the rotors and pads on my 2009 Jetstream blue Z06. The car has the standard red color calipers that have faded these past 10 years. While I'm changing the rotors and pads I want to freshen up the calipers. I was wonder what others have done there Z06's? Any help would be appreciated.

That's a good idea. I wonder what color code that is?

Two things you will need to do is refurbish the caliper pins and get new Corvette lettering. I keep both types of lettering, the white and the silver. The caliper pins I put a wire brush on a dremel and shine them up then clear coat them. However you can shine them up and then install then use some clear nail polish over them so that way the torx bit that you use to tighten them wont take the clear off that you already put on.

Thank you for the advice. I was thinking of going with TPS motorsports. The clear nail polish is a great idea.

You can get factory colors in the G2 brush on kit for $105 & if you clean & prep them well, will look just as good as more expensive options.

G2 is the way to go, You can get any color that you want for your calipers, just get the right paint code number

I have the silver calipers and did black pins/hardware/lettering to go with the rest of the black/grey/blue theme of the car. Depends on what you're looking to do but red on blue is not classy in my opinion.

As far as the caliper pins go, do you just unscrew them with a torx? Do the pads need to come out or anything? Mine are kinda rusty....

I got mine here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/C6-Z06-CORV...IAAOxy2E1SFVjt

They are not exact on dimensions but are very close to original. The ones I received are slightly larger than stock.

When I do my caliper pins I take out one, shine it up, put it back on then clear it with nail polish. Then go to the next one. Keep repeating. Makes no difference in time whether you take them all out or do one at a time. I figure if I do one at a time nothing can get screwed up.

My GS is JSB and I just picked up some blue caliper paint. Going to try it out and see how I like it.

After I put the new decals on my GS calipers, I gave the caliper a quick shot with hi temp clear paint.
looks good and easier to clean.
