Default What ceramic brake pads these days? GS/Z06

Title says it all..... what pads do you guys like these days? I’ve used the centric posi-quiet in the past on these cars and my last C7 GS has the power stop z26 evolution pads. (Has been some issues with rotors changing colors on the power stops) And no I’m not interested in carbotechs!!!!!
Thanks
Steven

Well the rotors are a common thing unless you get coated rotors (Zinc plated I believe) but for pads Auto Zone Duralast Gold Ceramic pads, hands down. But that's if your not going to track your car. How were the Powerstop brake pads to you in your opinion and did they make noise when stopping? Did they have more stopping power and bite than the centric posi-quiet pads? Thanks

they were REALLY good honestly.... and yes they did feel better than the centrics. The posi will give out fairly quick when you heat them up. Never had any issues with the z26. Just wasn’t a fan of the brown rotors/dust with the power stops though. I do seem to remember the posi squealing some times. What do you like about the auto zone pads?

No brake dust, not one squeal and cheap as hell. Look up them on here a lot of non track guys run them as fast as ceramics. I have a Grand Sport installed with 19K miles and now have 33K and no issues. The rotors will need to be coated/ zinc plated for that brown not to show up learned that after the fact. SMH

It aint. Where you change most pads every 25-30 k, my 1521 mino blocks still have 1/3 left after 50 k miles. And my rotors look almost new. And still stops like new and nary a squeak or noise.

That’s weird. I get no brown dust or any dust at all with my power stops

maybe it was the slotted rotor on the c7 or possibly a different compound.
