Snow Vette...Thoughts?

I drove my 2008 C6 coupe through 9 Michigan Winters and never had a problem. I had a set of OEM painted wheels w/Bridgestone Blizzaks that went on in late Fall along with a shortened front rubber air dam. It was great to be able to drive a Corvette all year here in MI (I still have a 2009 C6 vert that is a summer-only drive) and I recommend it to anyone in the snow belt that really enjoys driving (not just owning) a Vette. I just traded it in for an AWD Genesis G70 that has all the latest safety tech (which GM never made available on the C7) and if I didn't want that tech for long drives (MI to FL to visit my parents), I'd still have my snow-tired C6 on the road this Winter...

My insurance company loves me for sure. They even suggested that when I put it away for the winter that I cancel the road hazard coverage, which is about 75% of the cost. Big savings for me with no risk, and reinstatement is instantaneous 24/7 with a simple phone call. Car is still covered for fire, theft, comprehensive, etc. I've got a 4x4 winter car anyway, and there's 1/2 foot of snow on the ground already, plus about a foot of salt. Or so it seems.
Cheers ‘O=o-
