Default Considering Selling my 06

I have base model 3LT with 93k miles. What would be considered a fair selling price. Everything works and I have replaced all the high dollar items like the fuel sending unit and the shiftier cable.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you

for point of reference, I bought my '09 ( LS3 ) in January / 2017 for $19.5k.
it's also a 3LT, 6s[d manual, with both tops. all original from the original owner ( 98k miles ).
with it currently at 167k miles, pretty sure it's dropped a few pegs on the $$$ scale.

Automatics from that year and mileage around me at least are in the 15-20k range.

I would say, based on your location, around 15-16k would be a fair price. Knock about 3k off of that if you are selling/trading to a dealer.

If I were to sell locally to colleague for $15k. I think that's fair considering the wheels, tires, brakes, rotors all have less than 5k miles on them.

Your spot on, at recent dealer visit I was offered $12K and I respectfully declined.

Seems fair to me. It's a great looking car. I'd be hard pressed to sell it if it were me. I know I've thought of selling my '12 GS and know that at most I'd get about 25k for it. Then I think about what other car I could buy for 25k that's so unique and fun and I quickly change my mind. Good luck either way.

15k is fair. But those items don't matter though :P

I know it's a difficult decision, but I was looking at a 2015 convertible with 40k miles. with all the options I would pick. It's kind of a no brainier.

You said selling your vette not replacing your vette with a new vette.

I agree, no brainer.

That blue 2015 'vert is stunning! Heck, I'd take the $12k from the dealer just to buy it if you truly love it. If you have the patience, go for that $15k everyone is suggesting. The problem right now is the holiday season is approaching where folks have many things on their mind and not cars. Good luck!!

Is that the Monterey red? Both tops? Is it Z51 or F55? It has 2:73 or 3:15 rear ratio? What, if anything has been changed/added on/upgraded, not factory stock?
Did you get it new or how many owners? Is everything in good working condition? Any damage/defects/wrecks in it's history? Have all recalls been corrected?

Also what tires did you put on it? Is that console/dash area painted white?

Thanks, I'm sure this will save you many question posts.

That post made me laugh at the end. Which is good as I was getting more and more annoyed as I read it.

Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't looking to post a for sale ad here in the general forum. Just trying to get an idea of what the market is holding these days. My car is bone stock. All recalls have been done, all expensive repairs like the fuel sending unit, shiftier cable and I so on have been done. It's an F55 car with dual tops and nav. I'm the 2nd owner, and the rear bumper was repaired by the first owner (I don't know what happened).

Glad you understood my purpose in the end. Now he can make a better post in the For Sale area.
I may have an interest in it also, depending on the answers and price when properly posted.

Figure out all the answers you can and post an ad up in the For Sale section. It will save you alot of different posts/questions, that are sure to come from anyone really interested.

15 to 16 grand seems to be reasonable.

12 to the dealer with a tax benefit and ease wouldnt be terrible either.

im selling my 2008 black c6 z51 manual which as been great since day one of new car ownership with 137k miles presently for 13600 when my new c8 z51.

i feel like Im giving it away at that price but with only a two car garage and no parking on the street half the year along with a curved driveway i really dont have a choice. With mine being a manual and my wife not being able to drive a stick.

have to let it go. I have always sold my cars to who ever shows up first so I tend to price them on the lower end of the scale just to sell them fast. The few extra dollars a higher price can bring isnt worth my time.

the c8 is so hot and the dealer 5 states away so I cant seem to get an answer on a trade in so Ill fly down..drive home and just sell my corvette when I get back...

should take a week to sell. if i were you Id take the 12 grand trade in as its just easier. The 12 is really 13 with the tax benefit so for two grand why bother selling it yourself?

jmo

Funny as yesterday i was out and about and I was walking back to my car saying to myself how can I bring myself to sell this car...

the c6 s were amazing sports cars that really look so good....still we eventually have let them go to make room for the new ones.

in 6 months when my c8 comes in...it ll be weird to say good bye.
