Valve Stem Caps
I just bought some Black with Chrome Bowtie Logo Caps for my 2006 to replace the Black Plastic ones ( do not thread ).....these new ones don't thread. Anybody else have this problem? Do these wheels ( stock ) have a different type thread? I'll put these on the Suburban.
Thanx

I have two different sets of aftermarket caps and have no problem with putting them on my C6.

Never had a problem with after market caps.

I bought the chrome caps with black bowties for my stock wheels on my '06. No problems with the thread. Try wiggling them as you turn them onto the valve. Plastic to metal sometimes need to be coarced.

Try putting a small amount of lithium grease on the threads on the cap or spray them with some WD-40; they might just need a little lubrication to keep the threads from "grabbing" each other.
A trick I learned a long time ago for threaded fasteners of any kind - turn the caps backwards (counterclockwise) on the valve stem while lightly pressing downward on them. You will feel a slight downward "bump" when the sets of threads are properly aligned. You can then turn them clockwise to thread them on.
