Anyone replaced the halo on a 2005?
If so, what did you do with the “radio wart” ?
thanks

I removed the wort, wrapped the halo to black to see if I would like the look. I liked it so much that I still need to fix the hole permanently and paint the halo 2 years later.

OK, but what did you guys do with the wart? Disconnect the wires and tape them off, or ???
If yes, I assume will ruin the radio reception, OnStar and anything needing an antenna?

thanks

If you want to keep XM/Sirius radio just get an aftermarket antenna and put it anywhere inside the car. It will plug into the XM module just like the factory antenna does.

I have a kenwood head unit and have no need for Xm or onstar. Got the black halo on eBay for $90.00 delivered. I have a black transparent top and window tint so the look works for me

Since I plan to someday remove and paint the halo, I just snipped the wire and nothing more. In my 05 only the XM radio band was affected and everything else still works fine. If I want XM radio in the future I'll get a new antenna and plug it into the XM receiver which (I understand) is located behind the side panel behind the driver.
