Clock in my '05 vert still not on!! Thinking about getting a new head unit!
Hi, guys: My clock has still not come back on in my 2005 convertible. I am just wondering how many C6 owners have gotten a new gps/Bluetooth system for their Vette. Not having the clock working is really driving me crazy! I don't want to spend a fortune but I'm leaning towards getting a new system. I would have it installed professionally only cause I don't have confidence doing it myself. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks so much! By the way, this is my first Corvette and I purchased it about six weeks ago.

Owners who'd disrupted power lost their clocks. It's supposedly a software issue w/ GM.
More & more of these owners report clock coming back, eventually.
No rhyme or reason when it comes back, it just does.
Want an upgraded system, go for it.
Hundreds of members changed to Kenwood, Pioneer whatever over 9 yr C6 run.
Wouldn't let this clock matter be the deciding factor changing out, though.
Do it because you want it.
Do make damned certain chosen system's compatible w/ steering controls, or capable of anyway.
Usually involves specialized harness, decent installers would know what's required.

But I agree, get it if he wants to upgrade, but not just for a clock. Buy a watch....much cheaper.

I saw a cheap Android Auto/Apple CarPlay head unit at Auto Zone, for around $250. I think it was made by Boss. It's probably a "get what you pay for" type of radio, but should fit the bill of a budget radio.
