Wiper blades - replacement
I'm sure this has been discussed here before but my search didn't find much. And, I hope this question isn't like asking what's the best tire or best oil, but it may be. Anyway, does anyone know of replacement wiper blades that are either the same as OEM or similar, and the better places to find them, either brick and mortar or online? The blades installed on my car look like probably run of the mill average replacement blades and I used them for the first time last night and I think it's time to replace them.

I always keep spares around, order them when I get other items. I bought some AC delco professional beams last time.
They are on a 25% off sale right now, puts them under $10 a blade.

I replaced mine last month after noticing some cracking and a tear on the driver's side blade. You cannot find the replacement wiper arm assembly with the air foil. to my surprise they do not sell just the blade itself. After looking at several box auto parts stores with no luck I went to my local dealer and picked up both for less than the auto parts stores wanted for the replacements without the air foil. I think they were around $12 each.
If you don't care anything about the air foil on the wiper then any replacement blade will work.

What's the purpose of that air foil on wiper blade? Keep the wiper down at higher speeds? I took mine off and put it away in storage and replaced the blades with Bosch wipers which work excellent.

Yes, C5forgreg, the photo in post 4 looks like an OEM wiper arm.
GM dealer sells wiper arm inserts (just the rubber blade - not the arm asm.) for @$10 a side, that's what I install.

I imagine it's like a spoiler and helps to hold the blade down to the window when using at higher speeds and/or to keep the blade down when not in use instead of the winding bumping it around at high speed. I think the beam style blades help with this without having to have the attachment.

I just got a set from amazon, trico exact fit.
They are almost exactly like oem and are rubber and metal, which are best for me.
Dealers here do not sell inserts. They sell complete units, blade and insert after market only.
Dealers here wanted more than what I paid amazon.

You want GM part numbers 10306887 & 10306888 for the OEM blades, one will have the airfoil. You can get them on Amazon among other places.

I have a friend that found out his wipers most likely did not work when he bought car... 5 years ago and he just found out a few weeks ago... never used them before then lol

Thanks - found on Amazon. Two different sellers, both items listed as Amazon Choice, neither was Prime but both stated only 2 left in stock, order soon. Of course, 2 different estimated delivery dates as well. But no biggie.

Granted the trico don't have the wing, but it doesn't make much difference to me.

I've seen replacement inserts as cheap as $4. Someone saw them for as low as $2 before. Very easy to replace.
Current Amazon prices listed below.

Gotta have the airfoil or you will lose control. Just saying. My experience with OEM wipers is they last 3 times as long as aftermarket. I bought new OEM 3 years ago for my GS, still perfect. I've put several different aftermarket ones on my truck including Bosch & Michelin who should know a thing or two about rubber. Within a year they HAVE to be replaced.
