Wiped out another fuel injector on LS7
Got my car out for the first time this year yesterday, put some gas in it,, took it approximately 1 mile and exactly the same thing that happened to me last year happen again today. Last year it was injector number seven this year it’s injector number one. What the heck is going on? Maybe I need to find a new place to get gas? Unreal.

Come on this is an amateur night, I checked all that. Checked the wiring switched coil packs in the code did not change.

I think the car will hold the code for a period of time (even if you fixed the problem) until the code is actually cleared with a Tech II or equivalent.

2) Maybe if you listed what you already tried I wouldn't have made my so-called "amateur night" suggestions.
3) If the problem is in the main connector (the one that feeds all four individuals coil packs) then guess what, the problem will continue to persist no matter how many times you swap in coil packs from the other side or even brand new ones.
4) I may be wrong on this point but in the collective 200K miles I've put on the four C6s I've owned (including two 9 second drag cars) never once have I ever seen an injector go bad so I'm pretty doubtful that's your problem.
5) If it actually is a bad injector then it's not gonna go from working to not working just like that, but rather would likely degrade over time.
But hey what do I know, I'm just an amateur...

Sorry, I was referring to myself as the amateur, not you. Thank you for the suggestions. Looking at the video now, thanks.
1) I was just trying to help so there's no need to be a dick about it.

To rule out the main connector, disconnect it from the coil pack bracket and then examine the large male pins inside it. If any of them look pushed in (even a little) that could cause the problem as I learned the hard way after buying two new coil packs to try and solve the problem.

I'd be willing to bet your injectors are gumming up and after sitting long periods of time, they're getting to the point where they aren't pushing enough fuel through. Pulling each one to clean them works well, but can be a pain. I bought the non-dismantle fuel injector cleaning tool, from china, off Amazon. Then ran some OTC Pro-Inject cleaner through it. The main purpose for purchasing was for my daughter's truck that had a couple clogged injectors. Cleared everything up on the pickup and figured it'd be worth running some through the Vette. It ended up giving me a few extra, and unexpected, MPGs.

Melting Slicks
I have had (2) fuel injectors either fail or were plugged up. got the car with 98k miles on it, cyl #1 injector went out around 100k.
cyl #3 went out around 24k miles later. know on wood, currently at 150k miles, and all is fine ( at least injector-wise ).
as noted, they may have been just gummed up, but as these were at 100k, I did not mind replacing them ( over trying to clean them. ).

I have used 44K fuel system cleaner twice a year for years and never had injector problems. Two Corvettes, a supercharged Tacoma, Venza, and a couple other cars. Never a problem. Close to 200k on my Tacoma. My C5 had 97,000 on it. My 2011 GS has almost 60k.
It was recommended top me by a local Vette shop years ago. My Dad had injector problems, once he started using it, he had them no more. He $16-18 a pretty cheap fix.

If any further injectors go out, I may look at some additives. for now, i'll be happy just to get my car back.
it's only been in the shop for a few days ( timing cover gasket leaking on to the cam positioner sensor and leaky power steering pump ),
I'm missing it, wasn't able to get a weekend drive in.
heading to reno this weekend though!

Recommend using fuel stabilizer if the car sits long periods if ethanol is in your gas and use of fuel injector cleaner once in awhile.
I had 1 camaro last me 420k miles with stock injectors while i am at 240k miles on my 2nd camaro. My 2nd vette has 70k on it. Injectors will last a long time on our cars.

my car will sit for the most, 2 days between drives. driving to work is about 60 miles round trip.
the weekend I'll usually get at least one day in, anywhere from maybe 100 miles, to maybe 500 miles.
