Exactly 👍🏻 That’s why I wasted money on 2 of them 😄

yes, that's the one I was thinking of. MUCH cheaper and simpler than the blendmount and puts the detector higher. I would go with that if I didn't already have a blendmount.

Used one of these in my truck on the dashboard. After a couple weeks in the summer sun, I pulled it off and it had leaked a big black spot into the middle of my tan dash that would NOT come out. Bummer.

+1 for Blendmount.

My C6 is not a DD so I'm not in it a ton - but I've noticed my compass is stuck on "N". I did a quick search and found someone saying it's due to the Blendmount. Does anyone else have this problem?

I use a Blendmount in my F-150 also.

On a side note, I did use the suction cup that came w/ my Uniden R3 for a while. Have to say it was the best version of a suction cup that I've used.

I tried the Cheap Ebay and Amazon ones which both turned out the same, thou they where well made once clamped to mirror , I could not adjust mirror (to tight) I spent the money for Blendmount and fit perfectly.

Does it use an adhesive pad to hold the bracket onto the mirror, is that the one?

I’m a little worried about using adhesive since I live in S.Texas and it’s normally 100+ outside, I’ve had adhesive phone mounts fall off due to heat inside cabin in my other vehicles.

No Adhesive, It Clamps onto back of Mirror. There is a lip that sits in the back of mirror pocket and than Machine Screws on bottom that you tighten that clamps it. It was a 2 minute Install and adjustment and Detector is up out of way and in sight. I also thought 130.00 for a damn mount, but very happy with it.

I just stuck mine on the dash above ac vents and ran the wires behind that bezel. Works good and wired it to come on with the car.

As far as wiring the detector up, you can tap into the mirror power and ground wires shown here. You tap into pin 8 (Black) for the ground and pin 13 (pink) for the 12V+, and it only has power when the car is running.

I have a Uniden R3( and like it a lot), I got a small stick on the windshield mount from EBay. Mounts at top of the windshield next to mirror so it doesn’t block any vision at all. Hard wired into the passenger floor fuse box.
