I replaced battery and now no clock
I recently had to replace my battery and now notice that the place for the time is blank. I went into the settings and it won't let me set the time, time zone or anything else. I'm not sure it matters but the Nav seems to work showing me move on the map, but occasionally there is a marketed out GPS box that shows up.

You just became a victim of the well known disappearing clock. Several posts have been introduced with many complaining about the same occurrence. It happens when you disconnect the battery. I believe it's for all 2009 and older cars.

As already pointed out, it's a know problem on GM Nav systems 2010 and older. May also happen to 2011+ systems on the next GPS rollover date of April 06, 2019. On the other hand, your clock might start working again then, but think it's around 20 years ago. So in about 5 weeks, we will know about that. The forum thread is a sticky in the Tech/Performance forum : https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...isconnect.html
There are 550+ replies there, so it's quite a read - suggest you get to the point where you know how to report the problem to GM.

Same thing happened to me today just like Fatswaller indicated. I had the battery disconnected my 2007 to remove the seats for new skins and did not want to take a chance of the air bag deploying. Seats are back in and took the car for a short drive, no clock, no Info button illuminated but nav seemed to be working. In reading a lengthly thread here (550+ posts) this is a common problem when the battery is disconnected after sometime in December 2018. Evidently it has something to do with a satellite circling the earth that has a problem with GPS. Reading the posts there is an opinion the clock and Info function may come back after April 6 or so. Evidently the satellite reboots every 1024 days. There is no known fix for the symptom so we will wait it out and see what happens. Frustrating!

I did read something's in general about making sure the gps antenna plugged in, hold the time button for 60 seconds, etc.. But none f that worked, hence the post. I have not called the dealer yet, but I can't even believe this is a safelight button. I know I have replaced the battery 5 years ago and just had to reset the window indexing. I guess a call to GM is in my future.

There was a change in the satellite software back in December 2018. This impacted C6 Nav radios at least 2007-2009. GM is working on a firmware fix but as of 6/21/19 it is not available. I purchased a car dash clock on Amazon for under $8 that should work fine until the fix.

Never had a clock problem when replacing batteries, etc. with my '07, but apparently this problem is only on cars with nav? I don't have it.
Just to throw a little reality check from yesteryear: Most '50s-'60s family sedans (BelAir, Galaxie, etc.) didn't have clocks and they weren't even available, as I recall. Higher end (Buick, Caddy, Lincoln, etc.) had them probably as an option.
Problem was, they always fecal-mattered the bed after a few months, maybe a year or so. It became second nature to ignore anybody's dash clock, because none of them ever worked. It was just a non-functional blob on any of the cars.
Not sure when all/most vehicles came with a digital clock on the radio, and they actually held up and kept good time -- mid '90s? I recall sometime around then buying a little velcro-stick digital watch I stuck on the dash, because there was no other clock. Probably came from Radio Shack or something.
Because nowadays we are surrounded by clocks -- not to mention our cell phones -- I quit wearing a watch a long time ago. Years ago, people who were out and about -- and weren't wearing a watch -- would often ask each other what time it was. Nobody does that anymore, lol.

Yes.., this is what I used to change out my 7 yo Interstate battery. It held power to the ECM and related just fine
And dandy. I did have to re index Windows -- AND-- The clock is gone... ( yea it has NAV,). so I have got to wait
20 years to see a clock again huh..
The car is driven two, maybe three times a month.., so, maybe it'll take 60 yrs for the clock to come back
Online..
Kinda sucks doesn't ..

Just another good reason to ****-can that out-dated OEM radio / navigation head unit and install an aftermarket radio head unit with built-in Garmin nav ... Kenwood has various models to choose from.
The clock works perfectly in this Kenwood / Garmin GPS nav head unit.
Just a thought ...
