Even though I went for the first time in July of this past year, the wife and I took our 7 year old son last weekend for his first trip. He had a blast and soaked up a ton of knowledge about cars in general and Corvettes in particular. By the end of the day, he was correctly identifying C1-C7 Corvettes and categorizing them correctly. He was a little mad at GM however for closing the plant to tours while they are making the "stupid C8" Corvettes (his words, not mine)

That's an expensive way to go!

IMHO we are truly blessed to have a Museum dedicated to the history of our cars. I've been fortunate to visit the Museum at least 30+ times. Every time I go I try to set aside some time to sit on the benches along Corvette Blvd. It's fun watching and talking to owners taking delivery of their cars. For many it's their first, others second, third, fourth, fifth... I guess it's addicting!

Two deliveries stand out. One was a couple from PA taking delivery with the license plate "ROCN USA".

Second was a gentlemen recently retired from the Navy. He made the trip to Bowling Green alone. We talked for quite a bit, my father served in the Navy, and he told me this was the first car he had ever owned! He was quite excited about taking a very leisurely drive back to San Diego!!

If you're ever nearby you owe it to yourself to pay this great Museum a visit!!
