My wife's Jeep Wrangler is named because you put decals on the hood & it's a huge Jeep tradition. I don't see naming your Corvette as something that should be done. That's as bad as putting Transformer emblems on it or painting it like a character from Star Wars.
Welcome to the forum and vette ownership, nice GS. Don't worry about meeting others demands or suggestions for what is yours, do as you will, but not for others.
An adaptation of the one on my bike. There's a lot of high resolution files of this hornet out there for use. Maybe do the "Hornet" in the corvette font.
