Default Traction Control - 2005 w/Z51

More and more frequently I am getting a "service traction control" message. I can be lightly accelerating onto the freeway in 3rd or 4th (or any gear for that matter) and I will feel a slight nudge, like maybe you feel if one of the rear wheels might have gone over a slick spot, or water, or a ripple in the pavement..., and bingo, I get the "service traction control" message. So, I press Reset and get an "service anti-skid" message. So I press Reset again and this usually clears the message but I'll still have the Anti-Skid symbol illuminated on the panel, sometimes I'll get an ABS symbol as well.

Other than the messages, the car seems to run & drive okay. And, when I shut it off and restart it, the Anti-Skid symbol is gone. It doesn't seem to make any difference if I accel lightly or hard. It doesn't always come on during easy accel but it usually will if I crowd it. Anybody else played with this?

My '05 did the same thing, traction control waring but mine did it anytime in rolled over a non-level driveway.
My fix was selling the car to CarMax.
Problem solved.

Yeah... that's beautiful, I might do the same thing. Gotta be something simple, but it doesn't seem like anyone has broken the code yet.

FWIW Look to searching for the Steering Column "comb" insert TSB.
Install the comb if not already done.
Plus then my 2 cents.
Briefly described, even with the comb installed the connector/ wiring can still move.
Securing the connector with some zip ties worked for me.
I have not had that error message in many years since.
Good luck.
